CBS PLACES SECOND IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 18-49 FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEDNESDAY
"Criminal Minds" Places Second at 9:00 PM with Week-to-Week Increases
"CSI: NY" Is First In Viewers and Adults 25-54 and Overtakes "Invasion"

CBS placed second in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive Wednesday with week-to-week increases for CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: NY, according to preliminary Nielsen affiliate ratings for Oct. 5.
CRIMINAL MINDS posted a 7.7/12 with 11.75m viewers, 3.2/08 in adults 18-49 and 4.2/09 in adults 25-54. CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (behind only "Lost").
Compared to last week's time period premiere, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +8% in households (from 7.1/11), +11% in viewers (from 10.57m), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/09) and virtually even in adults 18-49 (from 3.3/08).
CSI: NY was first in households (9.4/15), viewers (14.18m), adults 25-54 (5.6/13) and second in adults 18-49 (4.5/12, just -0.2 behind ABC).
CSI: NY surged ahead of ABC's "Invasion" in adults 18-49 from 10:30-11:00PM (4.5/12 vs. 4.3/11) and easily topped NBC's "Law & Order" by +15% in both households (vs. 8.2/13) and adults 18-49 (vs. 3.9/10), +16% in viewers (vs. 12.19m -- nearly a 2 million viewer lead) and +17% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.8/11).
Compared to last week's time period premiere, CSI: NY was up +8% in households (from 8.7/14), +7% in viewers (from 13.30m), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.5/13) and even in adults 18-49.

CSI: NY regained leadership of the Wednesday, 10:00-11:00 PM time period in all key measures, vaulting ahead of ABC's "Invasion" and NBC's "Law & Order" in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to final national Nielsen ratings for Oct. 5.
CSI: NY was first in households (9.6/15), viewers (14.57m), adults 25-54 (5.7/14) and adults 18-49 (4.6/12).
CSI: NY topped ABC's "Invasion" by +28% in both households (vs. 7.5/12) and viewers (vs. 11.38m -- more than 3 million viewer lead), +10% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.2/12) and +5% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.4/11).
CSI: NY easily topped NBC's "Law & Order" by +14% in both households (vs. 8.4/13) and adults 25-54 (vs. 5.0/12), +16% in viewers (vs. 12.60m -- nearly a 2 million viewer lead) and +15% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.0/10).
Compared to last week's time period premiere, CSI: NY was up +10% in both households (from 8.7/14) and viewers (from 13.30m), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 5.5/13) and +2% in adults 18-49 (from 4.5/12).
CRIMINAL MINDS posted a 7.9/12 with 11.98m viewers, 3.3/08 in adults 18-49 and 4.4/10 in adults 25-54. CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (behind only "Lost").
Compared to last week's time period premiere, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +11% in households (from 7.1/11), +13% in viewers (from 10.57m), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/09) and matched last week's delivery in adults 18-49.
For the night, CBS was second in viewers (11.15m), adults 18-49 (3.4/09) and adults 25-54 (4.3/10).
