CBS NEWS' "48 HOURS MYSTERY" POSTS ITS BEST-EVER HOUSEHOLD AND VIEWER DELIVERY SINCE ITS NEW FORMAT DEBUT IN SEPTEMBER 2004 AND DOMINATES ITS TIME SLOT
The Newsmagazine Ties as the Night's Number One Broadcast in Households and the
Number Two Broadcast of the Night in Viewers and Adults 25-54
48 HOURS MYSTERY dominated its 10:00-11:00 PM time slot Saturday night and had its best-ever delivery in households and viewers since the broadcast had its new format debut in September 2004. The broadcast was also first in households (7.1/13), viewers (10.11m), adults 25-54 (3.2/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/08). 48 HOURS MYSTERY nearly beat NBC and ABC combined in viewers (10.11m vs. 10.20m).
48 HOURS MYSTERY was tied as the night's Number One program in households and the Number Two program of the night in both viewers and adults 25-54.
Compared to the same night last year, 48 HOURS MYSTERY was up +65% in households, +60% in adults 25-54 and +39% in adults 18-49.
For the week ending Nov. 13, 48 HOURS MYSTERY was the second highest-rated and second most-watched newsmagazine behind 60 MINUTES.
