CBS WINS TUESDAY IN VIEWERS BEHIND "NCIS" AND "THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS"

"The People's Choice Awards" Delivers Year-to-Year Gains in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

CBS placed first on Wednesday in viewers as NCIS won its time period in viewers and key demographics and THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS delivered year-to-year gains in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen preliminary affiliate ratings for Jan. 10.

From 8:00-9:00PM, NCIS finished first in households (10.8/17), viewers (17.06m), adults 18-49 (4.0/11) and adults 25-54 (5.6/14).

From 9:00-11:00PM, THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS scored a 6.8/11 with 9.82m viewers, 3.4/08 in adults 18-49 and 3.9/09 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same event last year (on Sunday, 1/9/05), THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.3/07), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 3.6/07) and on par with last year's viewer total (from 9.89m).

For the night, CBS was first in households (8.1/13) and viewers (12.24m).

CBS placed first on Wednesday in viewers as NCIS won its time period in viewers and key demographics and THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS delivered year-to-year gains in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to Live Plus Same Day National Nielsen ratings for Jan. 10.

From 8:00-9:00PM, NCIS finished first in households (10.8/17), viewers (17.19m), adults 18-49 (4.0/11) and adults 25-54 (5.6/14). NCIS was the night's top program in viewers. With 12 first run episodes this season, NCIS has been first in its time slot every time in households and viewers, 11 times in adults 25-54 and 10 times in adults 18-49.

From 9:00-11:00PM, THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS scored a 6.7/10 with 9.75m viewers, 3.4/08 in adults 18-49 and 3.9/09 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same event last year (on Sunday, 1/9/05), THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.3/07), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 3.6/07) and on par with last year's viewer total (from 9.89m).
