HALLMARK CHANNEL SCORES HIGHEST-EVER-RATED QUARTER AND MARCH IN 2006
Original Movies Lead Network to Record Ratings Performance, Including the
Premiere of �Our House� on Saturday, March 25
Hallmark Channel experienced its highest-ever-rated quarter in 1st quarter 2006 as
well as its highest-ever-rated March. This record ratings performance is due in large
part to the network�s ongoing original movie premieres. The most recent premiere, �Our
House,� starring Doris Roberts, on Saturday, March 25, achieved a 2.6 household rating
with 1.849 million homes and was viewed by more than 3.1 million unduplicated viewers
P2+. �Our House� won the time period among HH and P2+ ratings and was the
highest-rated ad-supported cable movie for the week of 3/20-3/26/06.
In 1st Quarter 2006, Hallmark Channel ranks among the Top 10 cable networks in
HH ratings for both Total Day (0.7) and Prime Time (1.1) and among the Top 10 cable
networks for key demo ratings in Total Day. Additionally, Hallmark Channel ranks #6 in
P2+ Total Day ratings and #10 in P2+ Prime Time ratings. The network delivered an
all-time high 530,000 homes in 1st quarter, an +11% increase year-to-year.
Hallmark Channel also ranks among the Top 10 cable networks in March 2006. The
network ranks #9 in both Total Day (0.8) and Prime Time (1.2) HH ratings, #7 in P2+
Total Day ratings and #8 in P2+ Prime Time ratings. Year�to-year, Hallmark Channel
increased its March Prime Time HH delivery +42%, the third largest increase of all adsupported
cable networks.
Hallmark Channel debuted nine new original movies in 1st quarter 2006, which led
the network to this stellar ratings performance: �Hidden Places,� starring Shirley Jones,
on January 28, with a 2.9 HH rating; �Falling in Love with the Girl Next Door,� starring
Patty Duke and Shelley Long, on February 4, with a 2.7 HH rating; and �Our House,�
with a 2.6 HH rating. The channel also premiered six new original movies as part of its
popular Mystery Movie franchises, which include �Mystery Woman,� starring Kellie
Martin, �Jane Doe,� starring Leah Thompson and �McBride,� starring John Larroquette.
The premiere of Hallmark Channel�s newest Mystery Movie franchise, �Murder 101,�
starring Dick Van Dyke, on January 7, was the highest-ever-rated mystery movie in the
network�s history with a 2.2 HH rating.
Hallmark Channel is a 24-hour basic cable channel that provides a diverse slate
of high-quality entertainment programming to a national audience of 72.5 million
subscribers. The program service is distributed through more than 5,300 cable systems
and communities as well as direct-to-home satellite services across the country. Crown
