CBS PLACES FIRST IN THE LAST FULL WEEK OF THE SEASON, EXTENDING ITS WINNING STREAK TO 10

"NCIS" and a Double Duty By "The Unit" Lead CBS to Its Best Tuesday In Viewers and Key Demographics Since March

The Season Finale of "CSI" Is the Week's Top Scripted Program

Season Finales of "Close to Home" and "Numb3rs" Propel CBS To Dominant Friday Win in Viewers and Key Demos

CBS placed first in viewers in the final full week of the season, extending its winning streak to 10 straight weeks, according to Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for the week ending May 21, week 35 of the 2005-2006 television season which officially concludes Wednesday.

For the week in viewers, CBS (11.96m) topped FOX (11.04m), ABC (10.46m) and NBC (9.58m). With three nights left in the season, CBS (12.62m) is first, followed by ABC (10.81m), FOX (9.91m) and NBC (9.74m).

For the week in households, CBS (7.8/13) was +15% ahead of FOX (6.8/11), +16% ahead of ABC (6.7/11) and +24% ahead of NBC (6.3/10).

Season-to-date in key demographics, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and a strong third in adults 18-49 (3.8/10, -0.2 behind both FOX and ABC).

-- On Tuesday, CBS was second in households (9.1/14), viewers (14.54m), adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10), with CBS's best Tuesday delivery in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since March 14, 2006.

� NCIS was second in households (10.5/16), viewers (16.49m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10). NCIS beat NBC and ABC combined in households (vs. 5.7/09, +84%), viewers (vs. 8.37m, +97%), adults 25-54 (vs. 3.4/08, +56%) and adults 18-49 (vs. 2.9/08, +31%). This is NCIS's best delivery in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since March 14, 2006.

� THE UNIT was second in households (8.7/13), viewers (14.04m), adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.2/10). THE UNIT built on its NCIS lead by +2% in adults 25-54 and +11% in adults 18-49.

� THE UNIT 10PM SPECIAL (S) was first in viewers (13.08m), second in households (8.2/13), adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11).

-- On the final Thursday of the season, CBS was first in households (12.6/21), viewers (19.68m), second in adults 25-54 (7.7/19, -0.1 behind NBC) and adults 18-49 (6.0/16). CBS finished first in every half-hour in households and viewers against the season finales of "ER", "The OC" and "American Inventor" and series finales of "Will & Grace" and "That 70's Show".

� CSI: THURSDAY 8PM SPECIAL (R) (S) was first in households (9.1/15), viewers (13.72m), second in adults 25-54 (4.9/13).

� The season final of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (15.8/24), viewers (25.40m), adults 25-54 (10.5/24) and second in adults 18-49 (8.3/20, -0.1 behind the series finale of "Will & Grace"). Against the "Will & Grace" series finale, part two broadcast retained 99% of the adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 delivery of last week's part one.

� WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (13.0/21), viewers (19.81m), second in adults 25-54 (7.6/18) and adults 18-49 (6.0/16). WITHOUT A TRACE was up +1% in households, +3% in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 compared to last week's broadcast.

-- On Friday, CBS was first in households (6.7/12), viewers (9.80m), adults 25-54 (3.4/10) and adults 18-49 (2.6/09). CBS won Friday night in households, viewers and adults 25-54 eight times in the last nine weeks and in adults 18-49 eight times in the last ten weeks. This season, CBS was first on Fridays in households 28 times in the 35 weeks and first in viewers 27 times.

� CLOSE TO HOME finished its first season winning its time period in households (6.7/12), viewers (9.76m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.4/10, with ABC) and second in adults 18-49 (2.6/08, -0.1 behind ABC).

� NUMB3RS was first in households (8.4/15), viewers (12.72m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13), adults 18-49 (3.5/11) and adults 18-34 (2.1/08). NUMB3RS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
