CBS MAKES IT TWO STRAIGHT SUMMER WEEKLY WINS IN VIEWERS
CBS Has the Week's Top Five Scripted Programs
The "60th Annual Tony Awards" Posts Its Most Watched Broadcast Since 2003
"48 Hours Mystery" Scores Its Best Viewer Delivery Since April
CBS made it two straight summer weekly wins with CSI, CSI: MIAMI, WITHOUT A TRACE, NCIS and CSI: NY as the week's top scripted programs, according to live plus same day Nielsen ratings for the week ending June 11, the second week of the 2006 summer season.
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE and TWO AND A HALF MEN were the week's top comedies, 48 HOURS MYSTERY delivered its most watched broadcast since April and the 60TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS was up +19% in viewers over last year, its best viewer delivery since 2003.
For the week in viewers, CBS (8.13m) topped NBC (7.33m), FOX (5.99m) and ABC (5.81m).
For the week in households, CBS (5.6/10) was +14% ahead of NBC (4.9/09), +44% ahead of ABC (3.9/07) and +47% ahead of FOX (3.8/07).
Summer-to-date, CBS is first in households (5.8/10), viewers (8.46m) and tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.9/08).
� CSI: MIAMI (R) won its time period in households (8.3/14), viewers (11.92m) -- against the first run season 5 finale of "The Apprentice" -- second in adults 25-54 (4.5/11) and adults 18-49 (3.5/10).
� NCIS (R) was first in households (6.3/11), viewers (9.46m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.1/07, with NBC). This is the second consecutive week NCIS was first in households, viewers and adults 25-54 and finished second in adults 18-49. NCIS was Tuesday's Number One program in both households and viewers for the second week in a row.
� CSI: NY (R) was first in households (6.4/11), viewers (9.45m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08).
� CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (R) was first in households (8.4/14), viewers (12.44m) and adults 25-54 (4.4/11).
� WITHOUT A TRACE (R) was first in households (7.9/14), second in viewers (11.37m) against first run programming on both NBC and ABC.
� 48 HOURS MYSTERY (R) was first in households (5.8/11), viewers (8.29m), adults 25-54 (2.5/07) and adults 18-49 (1.8/06). 48 HOURS MYSTERY won its time slot for the fourth consecutive week in households and viewers, finishing first in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the second week in a row. This is 48 HOURS MYSTERY's best delivery in households since 2/04/06 and best viewer delivery since 4/8/06.
� THE 60TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS (S) (8:00-11:01PM) posted a 5.2/09 with 7.72m viewers, 1.9/05 in adults 25-54 and 1.4/04 in adults 18-49. From 8:00-11:00PM, CBS was second in households and viewers. This is the best delivery for THE TONY AWARDS since 2003 in both households and viewers, since 2004 in adults 25-54. Compared to THE TONY AWARDS last year (6/5/05), CBS was up +16% in households, +12% in adults 25-54 and even in adults 18-49. THE TONY AWARDS was up +19% in viewers, adding +1.22m.
� TWO AND A HALF MEN (R) was second in households (5.4/09), viewers (7.97m), adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07).
� THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE (R) was second in households (5.6/09), viewers (8.23m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07).
� GAME SHOW MARATHON THURSDAY was first in households (4.5/08), viewers (6.72m) and tied for second in adults 25-54 (2.5/07, with FOX).
