During the week August 14, 2006, ABC registered its largest audience (5.8 million) and highest Adults 18-49 rating (2.0/6) since June � since weeks of 6/12/06 and 6/19/06, respectively.
Rankings: For the second straight week, ABC News aired the Top 2 newsmagazines during the week in Adults 18-49, with �Primetime� and �Primetime: Medical Mysteries�. In addition, �Primetime� was the top newsmag of the week with Adults 25-54.
Monday
�Wife Swap� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Building on its young adult lead-in by 14%, the 9 o�clock telecast of a repeat �Wife Swap� registered ABC�s strongest Adults 18-49 (2.4/6) rating in the time slot in 9 weeks � since 6/12/06.
�Supernanny� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
The time period premiere of a repeat �Supernanny� took second place in the hour, posting week-to-week increases of 2.2 million in Total Viewers (4.9 million vs. 2.7 million) and 81% among Adults 18-49 (2.0/6 vs. 1.1/3). The program ranked No. 1 in its time period among Women 18-34 (2.6/8 - tied).
Tuesday
�Primetime: The Outsiders� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)
The premiere of �Primetime: The Outsiders� scored ABC�s highest ratings in the Tuesday 10 o�clock hour this summer across each of the key adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (1.8/6), Adults 18-49 (2.2/6) and Adults 25-54 (2.5/6).
� �Primetime: The Outsiders� took the top spot in the hour among Adults 18-34 (1.8/6 - tied), Men 18-34 (1.7/6) and Men 18-49 (1.9/6).
Wednesday
�Primetime: Medical Mysteries� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
ABC News� �Primetime: Medical Mysteries� ranked No. 1 in the time period among Adults 18-34 (2.0/6) and Adults 18-49 (2.5/7 � tied).
� In its fourth telecast in the 10:00 p.m. hour, �Primetime: Medical Mysteries� posted series highs among Adults 18-34 (2.0/7) and Adults 25-54 (3.0/8).
Thursday
Boosted by strong turnout from a rebroadcast �Grey�s Anatomy� followed by another winning performance by ABC News� Primetime, ABC took second place on Thursday in Total Viewers (7.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.4/8), once again registering its most competitive finish on the evening this summer.
� ABC marked its highest-rated non-sports Thursday among Adults 18-49 in 11 weeks � since 6/1/06.
�Grey�s Anatomy� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Although it competed against the season finale of �America�s Got Talent,� ABC�s replay �Grey�s Anatomy� surged from its lead-in by 1.3 million viewers and by 44% in Adults 18-49. The rebroadcast �Grey�s Anatomy� recorded another high in its new Thursday time period. �Grey�s Anatomy� ranked No. 1 in during the 9 o�clock hour among Women 18-34 (3.2/10), beating all competition, including NBC�s �America�s Got Talent� finale.
� �Grey�s� (7.3 million & 2.6/7) surpassed its previous high, set the previous Thursday, by 4% in Total Viewers and by 8% in Adults 18-49 (8/10/06 = 7.0 million & 2.4/10).
�Primetime� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
Growing from a solid lead-in among viewers and young adults, ABC News� �Primetime,� hosted by Chris Cuomo, qualified as the No. 1 TV program during the Thursday 10 o�clock hour across all key adult demographics: AD18-34 (2.3/8), AD 18-49 (2.9/9) and AD 25-54 (3.6/10). The newsmagazine reported on the dramatic arrest in the decade-old JonBenet Ramsey murder case.
� �Primetime� attracted its largest audience (8.9 million) in nearly 5 months (since 3/23/06), along with its highest Adult 18-49 and Adult 25-54 ratings in the time period in over 3 months � since 4/6/06.
� In Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, ABC News� �Primetime� stood as the highest-rated newsmagazine on all of television (any network) in more than 2 months - since 6/15/06.
Friday
ABC was the most-watched Network on Friday night, with 5.2 million viewers. The Network also ranked No. 1 on the night with Adults 25-54 (1.9/6) and Women 18-49 (1.8/6).
�20/20� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
ABC News� �20/20� took the Network to the top in the final hour of primetime in Total Viewers (6.2 million), Adults 18-49 (1.8/6) and Adults 25-54 (2.3/7).
� �20/20� led its time period among Adults 18-49 for the seventh week in a row.
Saturday
�ABC Saturday Movie of the Week: Cast Away� (8:00-11:00 p.m.)
With the �ABC Saturday Movie of the Week: Cast Away,� ABC ranked No. 1 on Saturday with Adults 18-49 (1.7/6 - tied) and across each of the key women demos: Women 18-34 (1.5/6 - tied), Women 18-49 (1.9/6) and Women 25-54 (2.1/6). In addition, the 2000 theatrical delivered ABC�s best Saturday night performance of the summer in all four Nielsen measures.
� �Cast Away� saw its adult audience increase throughout its telecast. The movie grew by 140% among Adults 18-49 (1.0/4 to 2.4/8) from its first half-hour to its final half-hour.
Sunday
Airing against NBC�s telecast of the �NFL Pre-Season Game,� ABC�s all repeat lineup delivered the Net�s highest non-sports Sunday performance of the summer in Total Viewers (6.8 million) and across each of the key Adults demographics: Adults 18-34 (2.1/7), Adults 18-49 (2.4/7 - tied) and Adults 25-54 (2.7/7).
�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)
A repeat of �America�s Funniest Home Videos� posted a summer best for the Network in the hour in Total Viewers (7.5 million) and across all key adults demos: Adults 18-34 (2.1/8), Adults 18-49 (2.4/8) and Adults 25-54 (2.7/8). In addition, the video clip show led its time period among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.
�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
Similar to its lead-in, a rebroadcast �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� attracted its biggest audience (7.8 million) and strongest adult ratings [Adults 18-34 (2.3/7), Adults 18-49 (2.7/8) and Adults 25-54 (2.9/8)] of the summer.
�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
An encore airing of ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� saw its best Adults 18-34 rating (1.7/5) in 11 weeks (since 6/4/06) and second-highest performance in the demo this summer.
�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
A repeat of ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� won the final hour of primetime among Adults 18-34 (2.5/7) and Adults 18-49 (2.7/7). Additionally, the drama led the 10 o�clock hour across all key women demographics [Women 18-34 (3.4/10), Women 18-49 (3.8/10) and Women 25-54 (4.1/10)] for the fourth week in a row.
