"CSI: NY" Beats "The Nine" in Viewers and Key Demographics

"Criminal Minds" Is Very Solid Second to "Lost"

"Jericho" Retains 94% of Last Week's Demos and Viewers

CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: NY delivered more viewers than the highly promoted premieres of "Lost" and "The Nine" from 9:00-11:00 PM, while JERICHO maintained a healthy 94% of last week's audience in viewers and key demographics, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 4.

CRIMINAL MINDS was second at 9:00PM in households (9.9/15), viewers (15.01m), adults 25-54 (5.5/12) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10). Against the premiere of "Lost" as competition, CRIMINAL MINDS retained 91% of last week's record viewer high delivery. This is the best delivery for CRIMINAL MINDS against a first run episode of "Lost" since 1/11/06 in both households and viewers, since 1/25/06 in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

At 10:00 PM, CSI: NY was first in households (10.2/17), viewers (15.62m), adults 25-54 (5.9/15) and adults 18-49 (4.9/13). CSI: NY beat ABC's premiere of "The Nine" by +31% in households (vs. 7.8/13), +9% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.4/14), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.6/13) and by +3.66m viewers (vs. 11.96m, +31%).

Preliminary ratings indicate CBS averaged 15.32 million viewers to ABC's 15.24 million viewers from 9:00-11:00 PM.

At 8:00 PM, JERICHO was second in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.77m), adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10). Compared to last week, JERICHO retained 92% of its household delivery and 94% each of its viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 performances.

For the night, CBS was second in households (8.9/14), viewers (13.80m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11).

Final Wednesday ratings will be available this afternoon.

Against the premiere of "Lost" as competition, CRIMINAL MINDS retained 92% of last week's record viewer high delivery. This is the best delivery for CRIMINAL MINDS against a first run episode of "Lost" since 1/11/06 in both households and viewers, since 1/25/06 in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

At 10:00 PM, CSI: NY was first in households (10.3/17), viewers (15.73m), adults 25-54 (6.0/15), adults 18-49 (4.9/14) and adults 18-34 (3.7/11). CSI: NY beat ABC's premiere of "The Nine" by +32% in households (vs. 7.8/13), +13% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.3/13), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.6/12), +9% in adults 18-34 (from 3.7/11) and by +3.82m viewers (vs. 11.91m, +32%).

CBS averaged 15.46 million viewers to ABC's 15.43 million viewers from 9:00-11:00 PM.

At 8:00 PM, JERICHO was second in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.83m), adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10). Compared to last week, JERICHO retained 93% of its household delivery and 94% each of its viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 performances.

For the night, CBS was second in households (9.0/14), viewers (13.92m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13), adults 18-49 (4.2/11) and adults 18-34 (3.1/09).
