CBS WINS FRIDAY IN ADULTS 18-49 FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON
"Numb3rs" Overtakes "Law & Order" in Adults 18-49
"Close to Home" Is the Night's Most Watched Program For the
Third Straight Week
"Ghost Whisperer" is First in Key Demos
CBS won Friday in adults 18-49 for the first time this season as all three of the Network's dramas placed first in their time periods in key demographics, including NUMB3RS, which overtook "Law & Order" for the first time, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 6.
CBS was first in households (7.0/13), viewers (10.82m), adults 25-54 (3.9/11), all for the third consecutive week, and first for the first time this season in adults 18-49 (2.9/09).
NUMB3RS (10:00-11:00PM) was first in households (7.2/13) and viewers (11.07m), both for the third consecutive week, first in adults 25-54 (4.1/11) for the second consecutive week and moved into first place in adults 18-49 (3.0/09). NUMB3RS improved its competitive position against NBC's "Law & Order." This week, NUMB3RS beat "L&O" by +0.9 in households (from +0.3 last week), +0.5 in adults 25-54 (from +0.3), +0.2 in adults 18-49 (from trailing by -0.1 last week) and by +1.43m viewers (from +650,000 last week).
CLOSE TO HOME (9:00-10:00 PM) won its time period in households (7.6/13), viewers (11.61m), adults 25-54 (3.9/11) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.8/09, with NBC). CLOSE TO HOME has won its time period every week this season in households and viewers and placed first in adults 25-54 for the second time in three weeks. CLOSE TO HOME was the night's Number One program in households and viewers for the third consecutive week.
GHOST WHISPERER (8:00-9:00 PM) was first in adults 25-54 (3.7/11) for the third consecutive week, first in adults 18-49 (2.8/10) for the second week in a row and second in both households (6.3/11) and viewers (9.77m) behind NBC's "Deal or No Deal".
