BRAVO CELEBRATES BEST APRIL IN TOTAL DAY 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS
"Work Out" And "Shear Genius" Draw Fans Both On-Air and Online
NEW YORK � May 1, 2007 � On the heels of Bravo's best-year ever and fanned by the popularity of Bravo's second season of "Work Out" and the premiere of "Shear Genius," the network celebrated its best April in total day adults 18-49 and total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Bravo improved its year-to-year April performance for total day by 11 percent in adults 18-49 (154,000 vs. 139,000) and 12 percent in total viewers (259,000 vs. 232,000). Additionally, for the prime 8-11 PM time period, the network posted year-over-year gains of five percent in adults 18-49 (253,000 vs. 242,000) and 17 percent in total viewers (493,000 vs. 421,000).
Through six episodes, Bravo's popular gym-set docu-drama "Work Out" continues to gain muscle in season two, averaging 618,000 adults 18-49 and 760,000 total viewers, representing an increase of 17 percent and five percent respectively, over the season one average. And the premiere (4/11/07) of Bravo's new Wednesday night series "Shear Genius" drew over 1.1 million viewers tuning in for some "hairy" competition. Through three episodes, the series has averaged 622,000 adults 18-49 and nearly one million total viewers.
BRAVO'S DIGITAL SUITE POSTS TRIPLE DIGIT GROWTH
Bravo's digital offerings grew in triple digits, compared to April 2006, with viewers continuing to flock to the network's portfolio of online assets (www.BravoTV.com, www.BrilliantButCancelled.com, www.getTRIO.com, www.OUTzoneTV.com and www.TelevisionWithoutPity.com) for original content on their favorite shows. Buoyed by the popular "Work Out" and "Shear Genius" micro-sites, Bravo's online April year-to-year growth earned 2.8 million unique visitors (up 196 percent), 85.8 million pageviews (a whopping 353 percent gain), 1.7 million video streams (up 117 percent) and 7.2 million overall visits (a super-sized increase of 436 percent).
