"Big Brother 8" Debuts with a Thursday Win in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

"Big Brother 8 Sunday" Places First in Adults 25-54

CBS extended its summer winning streak to six straight weeks in viewers, placed first in adults 25-54 and notched four of the top five programs of the week including No. 1 "CSI," according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for the week ending July 8, week 42 of the 2006-2007 television year.

For the week in viewers, CBS (6.27m) led NBC (4.87m), FOX (4.76m) and ABC (4.17m). Summer-to-date in viewers, CBS (7.10m) is ahead of FOX (5.82m), NBC (5.60m) and ABC (4.86m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (2.2/07) for the second consecutive week and second in adults 18-49 (1.6/05).

For the week in households, CBS (4.3/08) was +30% ahead of NBC (3.3/06), +43% ahead of FOX (3.0/06) and +54% ahead of ABC (2.8/05). Summer-to-date in households, CBS (4.8/09) has a +30% advantage over NBC (3.7/07), +33% advantage over FOX (3.6/07) and +50% advantage over ABC (3.2/06).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

? BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY (P) premiered with a time period win in adults 25-54 (3.2/10), adults 18-49 (2.7/09) and placed second in households (4.8/09, -0.1 behind FOX), viewers (7.40m) and adults 18-34 (2.1/08, -0.2 behind FOX).

? CSI: 10PM SPECIAL (R) (S) was first in households (6.3/11), viewers (9.42m), adults 25-54 (3.2/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/08). CSI was the week's most watched program.

? BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY (P) was first in adults 25-54 (2.5/07), second in households (3.8/07), viewers (5.85m), adults 18-49 (2.1/07) and adults 18-34 (1.8/06).
