CBS Places First In Viewers For The 10th Time In 11 Weeks This Summer

CBS Is First in Adults 25-54 and Second in Adults 18-49

CBS Has Six of the Week's Top 10 Programs in Viewers and the Top 10 Scripted Programs

Special Preview of Drew Carey-Hosted Game Show "Power of 10" Is the Week's No. 4 Program in Viewers

CBS placed first in viewers for the 10th time in 11 weeks this summer, first in adults 25-54 and second in adults 18-49 with six of the week's top 10 programs, according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for the week ending Aug. 12, week 47 of the 2006-2007 television year.

All three editions of BIG BROTHER 8 hit nightly ratings highs in viewers and key demographics and all placed in the top 10 programs of the week in adults 18-49.

CBS also had the week's top 10 scripted programs with rebroadcasts of CSI, WITHOUT A TRACE, TWO AND A HALF MEN, CRIMINAL MINDS, CSI: NY, COLD CASE, SHARK, CSI: MIAMI, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT and NCIS 10PM SPECIAL.

For the week in viewers, CBS (7.08m) led NBC (5.62m), FOX (5.45m) and ABC (4.38m). Summer-to-date among viewers, CBS (6.89) leads FOX (5.91m), NBC (5.67m) and ABC (4.75m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (2.5/07) and second in adults 18-49 (2.0/07).

For the week in households, CBS (4.8/09) was +30% ahead of NBC (3.7/07), +37% ahead of FOX (3.5/06) and +60% ahead of ABC (3.0/05). Summer-to-date in households, CBS (4.7/09) has a +24% advantage over NBC (3.8/07), +27% advantage over FOX (3.7/07) and +47% advantage over ABC (3.2/06).

? POWER OF 10 SPECIAL (S) was tied for first in adults 18-34 (2.3/09, with NBC), second in households (6.0/11, -0.1 behind NBC), viewers (9.24m), adults 25-54 (3.3/10) and adults 18-49 (2.7/09). This is CBS's best delivery in the time period in adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since the season finale of NCIS on 5/22/07.

-- POWER OF 10 SPECIAL posted double digit percentage increases at 8:30 PM with gains of +16% in adults 25-54 (3.6/10 from 3.1/10), +20% in adults 18-49 (3.0/09 from 2.5/09), +24% in adults 18-34 (2.6/09 from 2.1/08) while adding +1.03m viewers (9.75m from 8.72m, +12%).

? POWER OF 10 (P) was first in households (5.2/10), second in viewers (7.77m, -0.10m behind FOX), adults 25-54 (2.6/08), adults 18-49 (2.1/07) and adults 18-34 (1.6/06). This is CBS's best delivery in this time period in households and viewers since 5/23/07 (NCIS WEDNESDAY SPECIAL), in adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 5/16/07 (THE PRICE IS RIGHT PRIMETIME SPECIAL).

-- POWER OF 10 posted double-digit percentage increases at 8:30 PM with gains of +14% in households (5.6/10 from 4.9/09), +21% in both adults 25-54 (2.9/09 from 2.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/08 from 1.9/07), +13% in adults 18-34 (1.7/06 from 1.5/06) while adding +1.16m viewers (8.35m from 7.19m, +16%).

BIG BROTHER:

? BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY (4.7/08, 7.21m) was second in viewers, adults 25-54 (3.3/08), adults 18-49 (3.0/08) and adults 18-34 (2.5/08). This is BIG BROTHER 8's best delivery on any night in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 and is the best BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY delivery in viewers. Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY was up +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.1/08), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/08), +9% in adults 18-34 (from 2.3/07), added +90,000 viewers (from 7.12m, +1%) and was even in households.

BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY was first in adults 25-54 (3.4/10), tied for first in both households (5.1/09, with FOX's football programming) and adults 18-49 (2.9/10, with FOX) and second in viewers (7.80m) and adults 18-34 (2.4/09). This is BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY's best delivery this season. This is the best households, viewers and adults 25-54 delivery of any night of BIG BROTHER 8 this summer, is the 2nd best adults 18-34 performance and matches the 2nd best adults 18-49 delivery.

CBS's BIG BROTHER 8 is on a ratings roll as all three editions are posting across-the-board growth since premiere week, according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings through Aug. 12.

The Sunday (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) edition is posting the thrice-weekly reality series' largest increases, up + 29% in viewers, +33% in adults 18-49, +11% in adults 18-34 and +28% in adults 25-54 since its premiere.

The live BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, is up +5% in viewers, +7% in adults 18-49, +14% in adults 18-34 and +6% in adults 25-54.

The Tuesday broadcast (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) is up +6% in viewers, +15% in adults 18-49, +32% in adults 18-34 and +10% in adults 25-54.
