"Without a Trace" Wins in Viewers and Demos
"Survivor: China" Extends its Time Period Winning Streak, Beating "Ugly Betty," "My Name is Earl" and the Season Premiere of "30 Rock" in All Key Measures
CBS emerged victorious on Thursday-the most important night of the week-for the second straight week, placing first in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 4.
SURVIVOR: CHINA extended its time period winning streak, beating "Ugly Betty," "My Name is Earl" and the season premiere of "30 Rock" in all key measures, CSI once again out-delivered "Grey's Anatomy" in viewers and WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period, topping "ER" and "Big Shots" in viewers and key demographics.
SURVIVOR: CHINA was first in households (8.5/14), viewers (14.07m), adults 25-54 (5.6/15) and adults 18-49 (4.4/13). SURVIVOR topped "Ugly Betty" by +29% in both households (vs. 6.6/11) and adults 18-49 (vs. 3.4/10), +44% in adults 25-54 (vs. 3.9/10) and by +4.29m viewers (vs. 9.78m, +44%).
SURVIVOR topped the "My Name is Earl" and the season premiere of "30 Rock" by +73% in households (vs. 4.9/08), +56% in adults 25-54 (vs. 3.6/10), +29% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.4/10) and by +6.38m (vs. 7.69m, +83%). SURVIVOR: CHINA has won its time period in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for three consecutive weeks.
CSI was first in households (12.8/19), viewers (20.81m), second in adults 25-54 (7.8/18) and adults 18-49 (6.3/16). CSI has topped "Grey's Anatomy" both weeks this season in households and viewers. CSI was the night's Number One program in viewers.
WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in households (9.4/16), viewers (14.54m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11), all for the second consecutive week.
For the night, CBS was first in households (10.2/16), viewers (16.47m), adults 25-54 (6.1/15) and adults 18-49 (4.9/13), also all for the second consecutive week.
Final Thursday ratings will be available this afternoon.
