THE CW'S TOP COMEDY, "THE GAME," SCORES DOUBLE-DIGIT YEAR-TO-YEAR GAINS
"Everybody Hates Chris," "Aliens In America" and "Girlfriends" All Build on Last Week's Premiere Episodes
October 9, 2007 (Burbank, CA) - For the second consecutive week, "The Game" was The CW's number one comedy in all key measurements, including adults 18-34 (1.6/4), women 18-34 (2.3/6), adults 18-49 (1.4/3), women 18-49 (2.1/5) and viewers (2.8mil), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Monday, Oct. 8, 2007.
"The Game" also delivered double-digit year-to-year gains versus its second original Monday telecast last season (10/23/06) of 23% in adults 18-34, 15% in women 18-34, 27% in adults 18-49 and 31% in women 18-49 and 13% in viewers.
"The Game" improved on its "Girlfriends" lead-in by 7% in adults 18-34, 10% in women 18-34, 17% in adults 18-49 and 17% in women 18-49.
"Girlfriends" and "The Game" combined to beat Fox's K-Ville in women 18-34 (2.2/5) for the 9 p.m. hour. "The Game" ranked second in its 9:30 time period with female teens (1.9/7), behind only NBC.
"Everybody Hates Chris," "Aliens in America," and "Girlfriends" all built on their premiere episodes last week.
"Everybody Hates Chris" improved week-to-week by 20% in adults 18-34 (1.2/4), 36% in women 18-34 (1.5/4), 10% in adults 18-49 (1.1/3) and 27% in women 18-49 (1.4/4).
"Aliens in America" gained 25% in adults 18-34 (1.0/3), 30% in women 18-34 (1.3/3) and 20% in women 18-49 (1.2/3) over last week's debut.
"Girlfriends" scored week-to-week increases of 7% in adults 18-34 (1.5/4), 11% in women 18-34 (2.1/5) and 6% in women 18-49 (1.8/4).
