GOSSIP GIRL Builds Week-to-Week in Viewers; Matches Last Week with Adults 18-34, Women 18-34 and Adults 18-49
October 25, 2007 (Burbank, CA) - With increased competition from Game 1 of the World Series, The CW's AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL remained tops with young women, while new drama GOSSIP GIRL built or matched last week in key demos, according to Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007.
TOP MODEL won the 8-9:00p.m. hour with women 18-34 (4.0/11), teens (2.2/8), female teens (3.6/13), and ranked second in the time period with adults 18-34 (2.7/8-tie) and women (4.0/11).
At 9:00p.m., GOSSIP GIRL improved over last week in total viewers (2.5mil, +5%) and women 18-49 (1.9/4, +6%), and remained on par with last week's telecast in adult 18-34 (1.7/4), women 18-34 (2.6/7) and adults 18-49 (1.2/3).
Once again, GOSSIP GIRL won its time period among female teens (2.8/9).
Overall, The CW ranked first with female teens (3.2/11) and second with teens (2.0/7). The CW ranked third with women 18-34 (3.3/9), behind only Fox and ABC.
