Hallmark Channel Ranks #1 Among All Major Networks in Audience Retention in C3 Ratings for Household and Key Adult Demographics for First Four Weeks of Broadcast Season
The Hallmark Channel spins the numbers for the first four weeks of the 2007-2008 broadcast season.

HALLMARK CHANNEL RANKS #1 AMONG ALL MAJOR NETWORKS IN AUDIENCE RETENTION IN C3 RATINGS FOR HOUSEHOLD AND KEY ADULT DEMOGRAPHICS FOR FIRST FOUR WEEKS OF BROADCAST SEASON

Network Scores 96.7% Audience Retention of Prime Time Households

Hallmark Channel, the nation's leading provider of family friendly programming, earned the highest ranking for Live+3 commercial ratings (C3) with 96.7% audience retention of the Prime Time average program rating in households, ranking #1 for the first 4 weeks of the 2007-2008 broadcast season (9/24-10/21/07). The ranking includes major distributed cable and broadcast networks.

Similarly, the network ranked #1 with a 96.3% A25-54 audience retention, and ranked #1 with a 96.0% A18-49 audience retention.

"We couldn't be happier with the C3 ratings results for the month which further underscores what our research has shown since 2002," said Bill Abbott, Executive Vice President, Advertising Sales. "Commercial retention has always helped us to stand out in the marketplace. Our clients know when they buy time on Hallmark Channel that viewers will stay tuned to see their ads."

"Hallmark Channel has been using commercial audience retention data for over five years now and has explored various ways of utilizing the data, so we decided to use a methodology that is consistent with the AAAA/ANA �Commercial versus Program Ratings Analysis' study released in August 2005 as a benchmark," said Jess D. Aguirre, Senior Vice President, Research.

For reference, the Top 10 networks in Prime Time HH audience retention were Hallmark Channel, ESPN2, Nick-at-Nite, TV Land, USA Network, Court TV, ABC, Home and Garden TV, Animal Planet and CNN Headline News.
