CBS Has Five of the Top Six Scripted Programs of the Week Led by "CSI"

"CSI" is Also the Week's Top Scripted Series in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

"NCIS," "Criminal Minds," "CSI" and "Numb3rs" Are the Number One Scripted Programs on Their Respective Nights

"Big Brother 9 Sunday" Delivers Its Largest Audience and Best Demos on Any Night This Season

CBS's scripted series remained strong in their first-run return accounting for five of the top six scripted programs of the week led by CSI, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 13, week 29 of the 2007-2008 television season.

NCIS, CRIMINAL MINDS, CSI and NUMB3RS were the top scripted programs on their respective nights. CSI was also the week's top scripted series in adults 18-49 (tie with "Desperate Housewives") and adults 25-54.

For the week in viewers: CBS (10.25m), FOX (10.27m), ABC (8.08m) and NBC (6.64m). Season-to-date, CBS is second in viewers (10.50m), behind FOX (11.37m) and ahead of ABC (9.18m) and NBC (8.36m).

For the week in households: CBS (6.6/11), FOX (6.1/10), ABC (5.3/09) and NBC (4.3/07). Season-to-date, CBS is tied for first (6.7/11, with FOX) and +14% ahead of ABC (5.9/10) and +26% ahead of NBC (5.3/09).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in both adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08). Season-to-date, CBS is second in adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08, with ABC).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME "Memphis vs. Kansas" (S) (9:15-11:54 PM) posted a 12.1/20 in households with 19.50m viewers, 7.7./19in adults 25-54, 10.2/26 in men 25-54, 7.3/19 in adults 18-49, 9.7/26 in men 18-49, 6.9/20 in adults 18-34 and 9.3/27 in men 18-34. CBS led the 9:00-11:00 PM time period in households, viewers and key adult and men demos. Compared to the same event last year ("Ohio St. vs. Florida"), CBS was up +4% in adults 25-54, +6% in men 25-54, +1% in adults 18-49 and even in adults 18-34.

-- This is the best delivery for the NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME in adults 25-54, men 25-54 and adults 18-49 since 2005 and matching last year's delivery as the best adults 18-34 performance since 2005.

-- Nielsen Media Research reports that 41.7m viewers watched all or part of Monday's game. 132.2m viewers watched all or part of the Tournament on CBS this year.

? NCIS was second in households (8.8/14), viewers (14.05m) and adults 25-54 (4.3/11), behind "American Idol" with its first run return.

? CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (8.4/13), viewers (13.33m), adults 25-54 (4.4/10) and adults 18-49 (3.3/08) - all behind "American Idol". Compared to the program's first-run return last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +2% in households (from 8.2/12) and added +520,000 viewers (from 12.81m, +4%).

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.0/13), viewers (12.38m), adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/08).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION won its time slot in households (12.5/19), viewers (20.09m), adults 25-54 (7.4/17) and adults 18-49 (5.9/15). Compared to last week's first-run return, CSI was up +1% in households (from 12.4/20) and even in adults 18-49.

? WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in households (9.7/16), viewers (14.49m), adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10).

-- CBS was first on Friday in households (5.6/10), viewers (8.72m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). CBS won every half-hour in households, viewers and adults 25-54, five of six half-hours in adults 18-49. CBS has finished first this season every Friday with their first-run regularly scheduled line-up (14 times) in households, viewers and adults 25-54, first in adults 18-49 with the network's first-run regularly scheduled line-up 13 Fridays out of 14 this season.

? GHOST WHISPERER easily won its time slot in households (5.3/10), viewers (8.55m), adults 25-54 (3.4/10) and adults 18-49 (2.5/08). Compared to last week's first-run return, GHOST WHISPERER was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.3/10) and +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/08). First-run episodes of GHOST WHISPERER won their time slots every week this season in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 (14 times).

? THE PRICE IS RIGHT MILLION DOLLAR SPECTACULAR dominated its time slot in households (5.2/09), viewers (8.08m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06).

? NUMB3RS was first in households (6.2/11), viewers (9.54m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). First-run episodes of NUMB3RS have been first in households and adults 25-54 every airing this season (14 times), first in viewers for the last 13 first-run broadcasts and first in adults 18-49 13 times in 14 first-run broadcasts.

-- Sunday, CBS was first in households (7.0/11), viewers (10.63m), second in adults 25-54 (3.6/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/07). CBS's 42-minutes of the MASTERS in prime time averaged a 9.8/18 with 15.25m viewers, 4.8/14 in adults 25-54 and 3.8/13 in adults 18-49.

? 60 MINUTES (7:42-8:43 PM) delivered an 8.1/13 with 12.17m viewers, 3.5/09 in adults 25-54 and 2.4/07 in adults 18-49. From 7:30-8:30 PM, 60 MINUTES was first in households, viewers and adults 25-54, tied for second in adults 18-49 with ABC.

? BIG BROTHER 9 SUNDAY (8:43-9:42 PM) scored a 5.3/08 with 8.25m viewers, 3.5/08 in adults 25-54 and 2.8/07 in adults 18-49. This is the best delivery for any BIG BROTHER 9 episode on any night in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
