Season Four Finale, Produced by CBS EYE too Productions, Is Number One Show
in Cable Sunday at 10pm With 4 Million Viewers
Highest-Rated, Most-Watched Telecast in Food Network History
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE � The season four finale of The Next Food Network Star was number one with fans Sunday night at 10pm, attracting an average of 4.0 million viewers on a total viewer 2+ basis, and 2.2 million adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. The program posted a 2.1 adults 25-54 rating, a 27 percent increase over the season three finale and a 3.0 household rating, up 14 percent over last season. The finale smashed all records for Food Network, becoming the highest-rated, most-watched telecast in its history.
The Next Food Network Star: Season Four series was watched by a cumulative total of 15.0 million adults 25-54 and 28.9 million total viewers 2+. The series ended with a 1.8 household rating and 1.3 adults 25-54 rating for its premiere plays on Sundays at 10pm, up 3 percent in households and 12 percent in adults 25-54, making it the highest-rated series in Food Network history.
The Next Food Network Star announced winner Aaron McCargo, Jr. on Sunday night after a star-studded fourth season on Food Network. His new daytime series Big Daddy�s House premieres Sunday, August 3 at 1:30pm ET/PT. CBS EYE too Productions has produced all four seasons of the hit Food Network reality series.
In addition, the finale contributed to July 2008 being the top monthly performance for Food Network primetime ever, with a .5 among adults 25-54, up 20% versus July 2007.
