The CW Premieres Drive Top Stations to Lead Their Markets in Key Demos

September 4, 2008 (Burbank, CA) - Three strong nights of premiere episodes of GOSSIP GIRL, ONE TREE HILL, 90210 and TOP MODEL led The CW to finish as the number one network in the network's target audience in women 18-34 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Collectively, The CW scored its best Monday through Wednesday performance EVER among women 18-34 (3.6/10), as well as adults 18-34 (2.5/7) and adults 18-49 (2.0/5).

Three nights of premieres drove CW affiliates to three consecutive nights (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) as the number one network in their markets among women 18-34, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Phoenix and Cleveland.

On Monday, The CW affiliates in 9 of the top 16 markets finished in first place among women 18-34, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Houston, Phoenix, Tampa and Cleveland; and wins in 6 markets (New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Houston, Tampa and Cleveland) among adults 18-34.

On Tuesday, with the series premiere of 90210, CW stations were #1 in 13 of the top 16 markets with women 18-34, including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Houston, Detroit, Phoenix, Seattle and Cleveland, and first in 12 markets among adults 18-34, including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Houston, Detroit, Phoenix, Seattle and Cleveland.

The strength of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL gave The CW stations in 12 of the top markets a first place finish among women 18-34, The CW was the number one network in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Phoenix, Tampa, Seattle and Cleveland, and wins with adults 18-34 in 10 of the top markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Tampa and Seattle.
