For the Second Consecutive Week, "Live To Tell" Was the #1 Saturday Night Program in Viewers
On Saturday, Feb. 21, CBS News' 48 HOURS: LIVE TO TELL (10:00-11:00 PM ET) was the night's #1 program in both households and viewers. The broadcast was also #1 in its time slot in households (4.4/08), viewers (6.72m) and adults 25-54 (2.0/06), and second in adults 18-49 (1.5/05, -0.1 behind ABC).
From the producers of 48 HOURS MYSTERY, each broadcast in the LIVE TO TELL series delivers an unfiltered, first-hand account from extraordinary individuals who came face-to-face with death but refused to give in. The Feb. 21 broadcast, entitled "River's Edge," featured the amazing story of two young college students who were on a peaceful date until the evening took a horrific turn. Stalked, kidnapped, brutalized and both shot in the face at a river's edge, these teens outsmarted their would-be killer, playing dead in order to survive.
The series was created by Judy Tygard, and Susan Zirinsky is the executive producer. "River's Edge" was produced by Katherine Davis, Michael McHugh, Alan Miller and Kevin Hayes.
