CBS WINS THE FIRST WEEK OF THE SUMMER SEASON IN VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54

CBS Is Number One on FIVE Nights -- More Than All Other Networks Combined

CBS Won Every Half-Hour in Viewers on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, Five of Six on Thursday.

CBS Has Nine of the Top 10 Programs, 14 of the Top 20

CBS Has 11 of the Top 12 Scripted Programs of the Week

CBS won the first week of the Summer 2009 season in viewers and adults 25-54 with nine of the top 10 programs, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 31, week 36 of the 2008-09 television year.

CBS placed first in viewers on five nights, winning every half-hour in viewers on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday as well as five of six on Thursday. NCIS (R), THE MENTALIST (R), GEORGE STRAIT: ACM ARTIST OF THE DECADE (S), CSI (R), WITHOUT A TRACE SPECIAL (R) (S), NCIS THURSDAY 8PM SPECIAL (R) (S), WITHOUT A TRACE (R) and TWO AND A HALF MEN SPECIAL (R) (S) were the week's top eight programs with CRIMINAL MINDS SPECIAL (R) (S) finishing 10t.h

For the week in viewers, CBS (8.03m) led FOX (5.50m), NBC (5.33m) and ABC (4.22m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (2.4/07) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (1.7/05, with NBC).

For the week in households: CBS (5.3/09) was ahead of both NBC and FOX (3.4/06, each) and ABC (2.7/05).

? NCIS (R) (8:00-9:00PM) was first in households (8.1/13), viewers (12.46m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07).

? THE MENTALIST (R) (9:00-10:01PM) was first in households (8.0/13), viewers (12.36m), adults 25-54 (3.5/08) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.4/06, with NBC).

? GEORGE STRAIT: ACM ARTIST OF THE DECADE ALL-STAR CONCERT (S) was first in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.63m), second in adults 25-54 (3.1/08).

? CRIMINAL MINDS SPECIAL (R) (S) was first in households (5.8/10), viewers (8.93m), adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06).

? NCIS THURSDAY 8PM SPECIAL (R) (S) was first in households (6.3/11), viewers (9.64m), second in adults 25-54 (2.7/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (R) (9:00-10:01PM) was first in households (6.7/11), viewers (9.98m), second in adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06).

? CBS FRIDAY MOVIE SPECIAL "Walk the Line" (S) (8:00-11:00PM), won the primetime time slot in households (4.3/08), viewers (6.45m), adults 25-54 (1.9/06) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05). CBS won every half-hour in households and viewers for the second consecutive Friday. CBS was first on Friday in both viewers and adults 25-54 for the 33rd time in 35 weeks, first in adults 18-49 for the 32nd time in 35 weeks.

? 48 HOURS MYSTERY (R) was first in households (4.1/08), viewers (5.95m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (1.8/05, with NBC) and second in adults 18-49 (1.2/04).
