CBS REMAINS THE ONLY NETWORK TO GROW ITS AUDIENCE VERSUS LAST SUMMER

Through the First Eight Weeks of the Summer Season, CBS Is First in Viewers and Adults 25-54

CBS Has 3 of the Top 5 Summer Programs (and 11 of Top 20) Led by Rebroadcasts of "NCIS" (the Number One Scripted Series), "The Mentalist-Tuesday" and "Two and a Half Men"

CBS Has 14 Time Period Winning Programs in Viewers and 7 in Adults 18-49

Through the first eight weeks of the summer season, CBS is the only network to grow its audience versus last year and leads the competition in viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen most current ratings through the week ending July 19, week 43 of the 2008-2009 television year.

CBS has three of the top five summer programs and 11 of the top 20, led by rebroadcasts of NCIS, the top drama/scripted series of the summer (#3), THE MENTALIST-TUESDAY (#4) and TWO AND A HALF MEN (#5) with Thursday's THE MENTALIST (#6). In addition, CBS has 14 time period winning programs in viewers (more than all the other networks combined) and seven in adults 18-49.

Through eight weeks of the summer (May 25-July 19), CBS is up +1% in viewers (7.02m vs. 6/94m) and leads in adults 25-54 with a 2.1/06.

For the most recent week in viewers: CBS (6.19m), FOX (6.21m), NBC (5.29m) and ABC (4.16m). Summer-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (7.02m), ahead of NBC (5.42m), FOX (5.21m) and ABC (4.96m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (2.0/06) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (1.4/05, with NBC). Summer-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54.

For the week in households: CBS (4.1/08), FOX (3.9/07), NBC (3.4/06) and ABC (2.7/05). Summer-to-date, CBS is first (4.6/08), ahead of NBC (3.5/06), FOX (3.3/06) and ABC (3.2/06).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? BIG BROTHER 11 TUESDAY (3.9/06, 6.16m) averaged a 2.1/06 in adults 18-49, 2.6/07 in adults 25-54 and 1.7/06 in adults 18-34 (opposite the All-Star Game).

? BIG BROTHER 11 THURSDAY was first in households (3.7/07), viewers (5.63m), adults 25-54 (2.4/08), adults 18-49 (1.9/07) and adults 18-34 (1.6/07).

? BIG BROTHER 11 SUNDAY was first in households (3.5/07), viewers (5.57m), adults 25-54 (2.3/07), adults 18-49 (1.9/06) and tied for first in adults 18-34 (1.6/06, with FOX). Compared to last week's premiere, BIG BROTHER 11 SUNDAY was up +7% in adults 18-34 (from 1.5/05).
