"The Big Bang Theory" Posts Week to-Week Growth of +9% in Adults 18-49 and +20% in Adults 18-34 and Builds on its Lead-in By Biggest Margin Yet
THE BIG BANG THEORY hit new series highs in viewers, adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54, building on its lead-in by its biggest margin yet, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Monday, Sept. 28.
At 9:30 PM, THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 25-54 (6.0/13), adults 18-49 (5.1/12), adults 18-34 (3.6/12) and second in both households (7.8/12) and viewers (13.02m). THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 5.8/12), +9% in adults 18-49 (from 4.7/11), +20% in adults 18-34 (from 3.0/08) and added +60,000 viewers (from 12.96m) from last week's premiere.
This was THE BIG BANG THEORY's best delivery in viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. This is the second straight broadcast THE BIG BANG THEORY posted series highs in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +4% in adults 25-54, +9% in adults 18-49 and +24% in adults 18-34.
TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (5.8/13), adults 18-49 (4.7/11), second behind ABC in both households (8.2/12) and viewers (13.64m). Compared to last week's season premiere, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.7/12), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 4.5/10) and added +10,000 viewers (from 13.63m).
For the night, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (5.0/12), second in households (7.4/11), viewers (11.73m), adults 18-49 (4.1/11) and adults 18-34 (2.9/08).
Updated primetime Monday ratings will be also available this afternoon.

EDITORS NOTE: Just released updated national ratings show the BANG was even louder than this morning. THE BIG BANG THEORY's adult 18-49 rating jumped from 5.1 to 5.3, a +13% increase from premiere week's 4.7.

THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +7% in adults 25-54 (from 5.8/12), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 4.7/11), +23% in adults 18-34 (from 3.0/08) and added +310,000 viewers (from 12.96m, +2%) from last week's premiere.
