CBS Wins Wednesday in Viewers and Ties for First in Adults 18-49
CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS beat "Modern "Family," "Cougar Town" and "Glee" in viewers and adults 18-49, the 8:00-9:00 PM comedy block topped ABC's competing comedies in viewers and key demos, while CSI: NY handily won its time period beating the combined competition in viewers, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 7.
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was first in viewers (7.27m), second in households (4.7/08, -0.1 behind NBC), adults 25-54 (2.6/08, -0.1 behind FOX) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06). Compared to last week, OLD CHRISTINE was up +9% in households (from 4.3/07), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06) and added +620,000 viewers (from 6.65m, +9%).
GARY UNMARRIED was second in households (4.5/07), viewers (7.17m), adults 25-54 (2.8/07, -0.1 behind FOX) and adults 18-49 (2.2/06). Compared to last week, GARY UNMARRIED was up +7% in households (from 4.2/07), even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 and added +520,000 viewers (from 6.65m, +8%).
At 9:00 PM, CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.5/13), viewers (13.49m), adults 25-54 (4.7/11) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09). CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
CSI: NY was first in households (7.9/14), viewers (11.96m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/08). CSI: NY beat NBC and ABC combined in viewers (vs. 11.02m, +9%).
For the night, CBS was first in households (7.0/12), viewers (10.89m), adults 25-54 (3.7/10) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.8/08, with FOX).

At 9:00 PM, CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.8/14), viewers (14.05m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09). CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
CSI: NY was first in households (8.2/14), viewers (12.43m), adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/08). CSI: NY beat NBC and ABC combined in viewers (vs. 10.86m, +14%).
For the night, CBS was first in households (7.1/12), viewers (11.11m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, with FOX). CBS finished first in these measures for the third consecutive Wednesday.
