Monday Night Football Powers ESPN to Win the Night among All Networks

Ravens-Packers Game Earns 9.7 Rating and 13.5 Million Viewers

On the strength of last night's Monday Night Football game� the Green Bay Packers' 27-14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens which earned a 9.7 rating, representing an average of 9,571,000 households (13,478,000 viewers � P2+) � ESPN won the night among all networks. The telecast was the seventh most-viewed cable program of the year for viewers (and No. 8 in households), and it was the fourth Monday this season ESPN had more viewers than any network, broadcast or cable. As it has each week this season, MNF led all the night's programs (broadcast or cable) in all key male demos and people 18-34.

For 2009, ESPN's MNF telecasts represent cable's 13 biggest audiences among households and viewers (and 14 of the top 15 among households). Through 13 weeks (14 games) of the NFL season, ESPN's MNF is averaging a 10.5 rating and 10,379,000 households (14,476,000 P2+), up 18 percent, 19 percent and 21 percent, respectively, from last season.

ESPN.com had 68.4 million page views to NFL content accessed via computers and mobile devices for Monday thru Tuesday at noon -- up 24 percent from the comparable time period last year. Specifically, page views for the NFL section on computers and mobile were up 26 percent from last year. Additionally, ESPN.com streamed 1.4 million NFL related videos.

Next week's ESPN MNF game on Dec. 14 features an NFC West showdown when Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals travel to San Francisco to face Alex Smith and the 49ers at 8:30 p.m. ET. ESPN's game around the game coverage begins at 3:30 p.m. with NFL Live and continues throughout the afternoon.
