CBS Places First in Viewers and Adults 25-54

CBS PLACES FIRST IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

"The Big Bang Theory," "Two and a Half Men," "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "Survivor: Samoa," "The Mentalist" and "Cold Case" Hit Season Highs in Viewers

"The Big Bang Theory" is the No. 1 Scripted Program in Key Demos

Rebroadcasts of "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" Draw More Viewers Than all Scripted Programming on the Competition

CBS placed first in viewers for the 11th time in 12 weeks, first in adult 25-54 and just one-tenth of a rating point from first in adults 18-49 as several CBS series hit season highs in viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 13, week 12 of the 2009-2010 television season.

THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, SURVIVOR: SAMOA, THE MENTALIST and COLD CASE all delivered their largest audiences of the season while THE BIG BANG THEORY was the week's top scripted program in key demographics.

Additionally, rebroadcasts of NCIS and NCIS: LOS ANGELES attracted more viewers than all other scripted programming on the competition.

For the week in viewers: CBS (10.55m), NBC (8.76m), ABC (6.83m) and FOX (6.22m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.90m), ahead of ABC (9.97m), FOX (9.20m) and NBC (7.93m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and second in adults 18-49 (2.7/08, -0.1 behind NBC). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.1/10), and second in adults 18-49 (3.2/09).

For the week in households: CBS (6.6/11), NBC (5.5/09), ABC (4.2/07) and FOX (3.8/06). Season-to-date, CBS is first (7.4/12), ahead of ABC (6.3/10), FOX (5.5/09) and NBC (5.0/08).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (8.8/13), viewers (14.84m), adults 25-54 (6.2/14), adults 18-49 (5.0/12) and adults 18-34 (3.6/10). These were season highs for TWO AND A HALF MEN in viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in households (8.4/13), viewers (14.38m), adults 25-54 (6.5/14), adults 18-49 (5.6/13) and adults 18-34 (4.5/12). THE BIG BANG THEORY improved on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +5% in adults 25-54, +12% in adults 18-49 and +25% in adults 18-34. These were series highs for THE BIG BANG THEORY in viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (8.0/13), viewers (12.72m), adults 25-54 (4.6/11), adults 18-49 (3.7/10) and adults 18-34 (2.8/08). CSI: MIAMI beat the competition combined in viewers (vs. 12.48m, +2%), adults 25-54 (vs. 4.1/10, +12%), adults 18-49 (vs. 3.5/09, +6%) and tied in adults 18-34.

? NCIS (R) was first in households (9.5/15) and viewers (15.09m).

? NCIS: LOS ANGELES (R) was second in households (7.6/12), viewers (12.04m) and adults 25-54 (3.3/08).

? THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was first in households (4.8/08), second in viewers (7.49m) and adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.2/06, with FOX). Compared to its last first-run episode (Nov. 25), THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was up +14% in households (from 4.2/08), +22% in adults 25-54 (from 2.3/07), +29% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/06) and added +630,000 viewers (from 6.86m, +9%). This was THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE's best delivery in viewers since December 10, 2008.

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.9/14), viewers (14.43m), adults 25-54 (5.1/12) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10). Compared to its last first-run episode (Nov. 25), CRIMINAL MINDS was up +9% in households (from 8.2/14), +21% in adults 25-54 (from 4.2/11), +22% in adults 18-49 (from 3.2/09) and added +820,000 viewers (from 13.61m, +6%). This was CRIMINAL MINDS's best deliveries in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Sept. 23, 2009 (the season premiere).

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.4/14), viewers (12.97m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09). Compared to its last first-run episode (Nov. 25), CSI: NY was up +6% in households (from 7.9/15), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/11), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/09) and added +290,000 viewers (from 12.68m, +2%).

? SURVIVOR: SAMOA won its time period in households (7.6/12), viewers (13.25m), adults 25-54 (5.1/13) and adults 18-49 (4.2/12). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: SAMOA was up +1% in households (from 7.5/12), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/12), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/11) and added +430,000 viewers (from 12.82m, +3%). SURVIVOR: SAMOA posted season highs in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION won its time period in households (10.0/16), viewers (16.43m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10). Compared to its last first-run episode (on Nov. 19, 2009), CSI: was up +8% in households (from 9.3/15), +13% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/11), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/09) and added +1.49m viewers (from 14.94m, +10%).

? THE MENTALIST won its time period in households (10.3/18), viewers (16.37m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10). THE MENTALIST delivered its largest audience of the season.

? 60 MINUTES (7:21-8:21PM) was first in households (10.2/16), viewers (16.24m), adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10) in the 7:30-8:30PM time slot. This was the second best 60 MINUTES best performance this season in these measures, all behind November 8, 2009.

? COLD CASE (9:21-10:21PM, 6.5/10, 10.30m) posted its largest audience of the season.
