"Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs" Post Season Highs While "Medium" Delivers its Largest Audience Since its CBS Premiere

The highest ratings since 2007 for THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS and season-high Tuesday and Friday ratings paced CBS in an atypical week that included rebroadcasts of its strong Monday and Thursday lineups, three college football bowl games and a primetime NFL Playoff game on the competition, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 10, week 16 of the 2009-2010 television season.

NCIS and NCIS: LOS ANGELES delivered their second-largest audiences ever while THE GOOD WIFE posted its highest adult 18-49 rating since September, leading CBS to its highest rated Tuesday of the season. On Friday, GHOST WHISPERER and NUMB3RS attracted their largest audiences of the season while MEDIUM had its largest audience since its CBS premiere in September. On Wednesday, THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS scored its best ratings in viewers and key demographics since 2007.

For the week in viewers: CBS (9.86m), NBC (10.34m), FOX (10.07m) and ABC (9.62m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.51m), ahead of ABC (9.16m), FOX (8.81m) and NBC (7.84m).

For the week in households: CBS (6.2/10), NBC (6.2/10), FOX (5.9/09) and ABC (5.8/09). In households, season-to-date, CBS is first (7.1/12), ahead of ABC (5.7/09), FOX (5.2/08) and NBC (4.9/08).

For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged a 3.1/07 in adults 25-54 and 2.3/06 in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

--On Tuesday, CBS was first in households (11.0/17), viewers (17.81m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) � all for the fourth consecutive week � and second in adults 18-49 (3.7/10, -0.1 behind NBC). CBS delivered its largest Tuesday audience this season, its best delivery in adults 25-54 since Oct. 20, 2009, and best adults 18-49 performance since Nov. 24, 2009.

? NCIS was first in households (12.9/20), viewers (21.37m) and adults 25-54 (6.2/15) and adults 18-49 (4.4/12). Compared to the last first-run episode (on Dec. 15), NCIS was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/16), even in adults 18-49 and added +670,000 viewers (from 20.70m, +3%). This was program's the second-best viewer delivery ever (only -20,000 viewers behind Sept. 29, 2009) and the best adults 25-54 delivery since Oct. 20, 2009.

? NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (11.0/17), viewers (18.07m), second in adults 25-54 (5.3/12) and delivered a 3.7/09 in adults 18-49. NCIS: LOS ANGELES, compared to the last first-run episode (on Dec. 15), was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.2/13), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10) and added +560,000 viewers (from 17.51m, +3%). This was the second-best viewer delivery ever for NCIS: LOS ANGELES (-0.68m behind the series premiere) and its best delivery in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Nov. 24, 2009.

? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (13.97m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08) behind FOX's college football. Compared to the last first-run episode (on Dec. 15), THE GOOD WIFE was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/11) and +7% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/08). THE GOOD WIFE matched its second-best adults 25-54 delivery and posted its best delivery in adults 18-49 since Sept. 29, 2009.

? I GET THAT A LOT (S) was first in households (5.1/08), viewers (8.34m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09), adults 18-49 (2.9/08) and adults 18-34 (2.2/07).

? THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS (S) was first in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.81m), adults 25-54 (3.9/09), adults 18-49 (3.4/09) and adults 18-34 (2.9/09). Compared to last year's event (on the same night last year), THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS was up +13% in both households (from 6.0/10) and adults 18-49 (from 3.0/08), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 3.6/08), +32% in adults 18-34 (from 2.2/06) and added +1.40m viewers (from 9.41m, +15%). This was the best delivery for THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS since 2007 in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49; it also marks the program's best delivery in adults 18-34 since 2006.

-- Friday, CBS was first in households (5.6/09), viewers (9.08m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and adults 18-49 (2.1/07). CBS was first in households, viewers and adults 25-54 11 times in 16 Fridays this season, 9 times in 16 weeks in adults 18-49. This was CBS's best Friday delivery with regularly scheduled first-run programming in households since September 25, 2009 (premiere week), in viewers since May 15, 2009, and in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since May 1, 2009.

? GHOST WHISPERER was first in households (5.4/09), viewers (8.94m), adults 25-54 (3.3/09) and adults 18-49 (2.2/07). This was GHOST WHISPERER's best delivery in adults 25-54 since May 1, 2009, adults 18-49 since October 9, 2009, and viewers since May 15, 2009. Compared to the last first-run episode (on December 4, 2009), GHOST WHISPERER was up +4% in households (from 5.2/09), +27% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/08), +16% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/07) and added +640,000 viewers (from 8.20m, +9%).

? MEDIUM was second in households (5.3/09), viewers (8.87m), adults 25-54 (3.0/08, -0.1 behind NBC) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06, -0.1 behind NBC). This was MEDIUM's best delivery in viewers since September 25, 2009 (premiere week), adults 18-49 since October 23, 2009, and best delivery on CBS ever in adults 25-54. Compared to the last first-run episode, MEDIUM was up +20% in households (from 4.4/07), +25% in adults 25-54 (from 2.4/06), +17% in adults 18-49 (from 1.8/05) and added +1.87m viewers (from 7.00m, +27%).

? NUMB3RS was first in households (5.8/10), viewers (9.24m), adults 25-54 (2.9/08) and second in adults 18-49 (2.1/06, -0.2 behind ABC). NUMB3RS posted its best delivery in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since May 15, 2009.
