CBS dominated the week in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 posting the largest weekly audience and highest adult 25-54 rating by any network this season, led by strong performances of the Network's comedies and dramas, Saturday's primetime AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF and Sunday's AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF primetime overrun, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 17, week 17 of the 2009-2010 television season.

CBS had 7 of the top 10 programs and 12 of the top 15, including the AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF SATURDAY ("Baltimore Ravens vs. Indianapolis Colts"), the No. 1 program of the week which delivered CBS's largest Saturday primetime audience since 1994. On Sunday, more than 41 million viewers watched CBS's AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF ("New York Jets vs. San Diego Chargers") primetime football run over.

NCIS, TWO AND A HALF MEN, THE BIG BANG THEORY, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE MENTALIST, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, CSI: NY, CRIMINAL MINDS, THE GOOD WIFE and CSI: MIAMI were the week's top scripted programs.

THE BIG BANG THEORY hit series highs in all key ratings measures while HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (100th episode) and TWO AND A HALF MEN delivered season highs in viewers and key demographics.

NCIS outperformed its season viewer average against "American Idol" and CRIMINAL MINDS retained 99% of its viewer average while showing gains in key demos opposite Wednesday's "American Idol."

For the week in viewers: CBS (16.36m) led FOX (12.34m), NBC (7.31m) and ABC (6.44m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.81m), ahead of FOX (9.03m), ABC (9.02m) and NBC (7.82m).

For the week in households: CBS (9.7/16) was ahead of FOX (7.0/11), NBC (4.6/07) and ABC (4.1/07). In households, season-to-date, CBS is first (7.3/12), ahead of ABC (5.7/09), FOX (5.4/09) and NBC (4.8/08).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (5.8/14) and adults 18-49 (4.7/13). CBS posted the best weekly delivery of any network this season in adults 25-54 and second best in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.1/08).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (6.0/09, 9.77m), was first in adults 18-34 (4.0/10), second in adults 25-54 (4.4/11) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10) with its 100th episode. This was HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER's best delivery in both households and viewers since March 2, 2009, in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since April 13, 2009, and in adults 18-34 since Jan. 12, 2009.

? TWO AND A HALF MEN won its time slot in households (10.1/15), viewers (17.27m), adults 25-54 (6.9/15), adults 18-49 (5.4/13) and adults 18-34 (3.8/10). Compared to the last first-run episode (on Dec. 14, 2009), this was the best TWO AND A HALF MEN delivery in households since Jan. 12, 2009, in viewers since Dec.15, 2008, and in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Feb. 2, 2009.

? THE BIG BANG THEORY won its time slot in households (9.3/14), viewers (15.82m), adults 25-54 (7.0/15), adults 18-49 (5.7/14) and adults 18-34 (4.2/11). THE BIG BANG THEORY posted series highs in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, matching its best household delivery to-date.

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (8.7/15), viewers (13.70m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13), adults 18-49 (3.7/10) and adults 18-34 (2.5/07).

? NCIS was second in households (12.6/19), viewers (20.85m), adults 25-54 (6.0/14), adults 18-49 (4.3/11) and adults 18-34 (3.1/09). Compared to the program's first-run live plus same day (pre-"American Idol") average this season, NCIS retained 100% of both its ratings in household (12.6/20) and adults 18-34 (3.1/09), 97% of adults 25-54 (6.2/16) and 96% of adults 18-49 (4.5/12). NCIS outdelivered its live plus same day season-to-date viewers average (20.81m).

? NCIS: LOS ANGELES was second in households (9.7/15), viewers (15.60m), adults 25-54 (4.3/09) and averaged a 3.0/07 in adults 18-49. NCIS: LOS ANGELES retained 93% of its live plus same day season average viewer delivery opposite the second hour of "American Idol."

? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (13.87m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08). THE GOOD WIFE beat the competition combined in households (vs. 6.7/12, +34%), viewers (vs. 10.42m, +33%), adults 25-54 (vs. 3.8/10, +11%) and tied in adults 18-49.

? CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (8.5/13), viewers (13.90m), adults 25-54 (4.9/11) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10). Against 30 minutes of "American Idol", CRIMINAL MINDS improved its first-run live plus same day adults 25-54 (4.8/12, +2%) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10, +3%) while retaining 98% of its households rating (8.7/14) and 99% of viewers (14.01m).

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.8/15), viewers (14.03m), adults 25-54 (4.6/12) and adults 18-49 (3.5/10).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (9.4/15), viewers (15.33m); it was second in both adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09).

? THE MENTALIST was first in households (9.6/16), viewers (15.38m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09).

? GHOST WHISPERER was first in households (5.3/09), viewers (8.61m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09) and adults 18-49 (2.2/07).
