SLAM DUNK WEEK FOR CBS - FIRST IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

"The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship" is #1 Program of the Week, Garnering its Largest Audience Since 1999

CBS Nets Seven of the Top 10 Programs and the Top Six Scripted Series

CBS's Reality Series are all Winners as "Survivor," "The Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss" Win Time Periods in Viewers and Demos

CBS placed first in viewers for the fifth consecutive week and first in adults 25-54 for the fourth straight week led by THE NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP, the number one program of the week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 11, week 29 of the 2009-2010 television year.

CBS had seven of the week's top 10 programs overall, the top six scripted series (NCIS, THE MENTALIST, CSI, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, CRIMINAL MINDS, THE GOOD WIFE) and three of the top four scripted series among adults 18-49 (NCIS, THE MENTALIST and CRIMINAL MINDS).

The Network's three reality series all came up winners as SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS, THE AMAZING RACE 16 and UNDERCOVER BOSS all won their respective time periods in viewers and key demographics.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.59m), FOX (8.74m), ABC (7.43m) and NBC (5.24m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (12.06m), ahead of FOX (10.05m), NBC (8.67m) and ABC (8.56m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (3.9/11) and a strong second in adults 18-49 (2.9/09, -0.1 behind FOX). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.3/09).

For the week in households: CBS (7.2/12), FOX (5.2/09), ABC (4.8/08) and NBC (3.4/06). In households season-to-date, CBS is first (7.3/12), ahead of FOX (5.9/09), ABC (5.4/09) and NBC (5.3/09).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

-- On Monday, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (6.2/15), adults 18-49 (5.4/15), adults 18-34 (4.6/15), men 25-54 (7.6/20), men 18-49 (6.6/19) and men 18-34 (5.5/18); the Network was second in households (9.8/16) and viewers (16.22m).

? PRELUDE TO A CHAMPIONSHIP (S) (9:00-9:15 PM) delivered a 7.7/12 in households with 12.38m viewers and 4.5/12 in adults 25-54, 3.6/11 in adults 18-49, 2.9/10 in adults 18-34, 5.5/15 in men 25-54, 4.4/14 in men 18-49 and 3.4/12 in men 18-34.

? NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME "Butler vs. Duke" (S) (9:15-11:41 PM) posted a 14.2/23 in households with 23.94m viewers, 9.0/22 in adults 25-54, 8.2/22 in adults 18-49, 7.4/23 in adults 18-34, 11.5/29 in men 25-54, 10.4/29 in men 18-49 and 9.2/29 in men 18-34. CBS led the 9:00-11:00 PM time period in households, viewers and key adult and men demos.

-- NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME scored its largest audience since 1999 ("Duke vs. UConn"); its best households, adults 25-54, adults 18-49, adults 18-34, men 25-54 and men 18-49 ratings since 2005 ("Illinois vs. North Carolina") and best men 18-34 since 2008 ("Kansas vs. Memphis," overtime). Compared to the same event last year ("Michigan State vs. North Carolina"), CBS was up +31% in both households and men 25-54, +30% in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, +37% in both adults 18-34 and men 18-34 and +28% in men 18-49.

-- Nielsen Media Research reports that 48.1m viewers watched all or part of Monday's game, the largest all or part delivery since 1997 ("Arizona vs. Kentucky," 50.0m). 134.3m viewers watched all or part of the Tournament on CBS this year, the largest all or part delivery since 2005 (141.7m).

? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (7.9/14), viewers (12.06m) and adults 25-54 (3.4/09).

-- On Thursday, CBS was first in households (8.9/15), viewers (14.56m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.6/11). CBS swept these measures for the fourth consecutive Thursday. CBS won every half-hour in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

? SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS was first in households (7.3/12), viewers (12.38m), adults 25-54 (4.9/14) and adults 18-49 (3.8/12). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS was up +9% in both households (from 6.7/12) and adults 18-49 (from 3.5/12), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/14) and added +1.12m viewers (from 11.26m, +10%).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (9.3/15), viewers (14.97m), adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10). Compared to last week's 10:00 PM broadcast, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was up +9% in households (from 8.5/15), +15% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/11), +21% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/08) and added +1.62m viewers (from 13.35m, +12%).

? THE MENTALIST was first in households (10.2/18), viewers (16.32m), adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (3.5/10). Compared to last week's 9:00 PM broadcast, THE MENTALIST was up +17% in households (from 8.7/15), +25% in adults 25-54 (from 4.0/11), +30% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/08) and added +2.21m viewers (from 14.11m, +16%).

-- On Sunday, CBS was first in households (8.1/14), viewers (13.21m), adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/10). CBS swept these measures for the fifth consecutive Sunday.

CBS's 11-minutes of the MASTERS in primetime averaged an 11.5/23 with 18.36m viewers.

? 60 MINUTES (7:11 PM-8:11 PM) was first in households (9.7/18), viewers (15.03m), adults 25-54 (4.0/12) and adults 18-49 (3.0/10) in the 7:00 PM hour. 60 MINUTES posted its largest audience since January 17, 2010. 60 MINUTES was the night's number one program in households and viewers.

? THE AMAZING RACE 16 (8:11-9:11 PM) was first in households (6.9/11), viewers (11.88m), adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10) in the 8:00PM hour.
