UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 13, 2010 - NBC has finished #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers for the primetime week of July 5-11, as "America's Got Talent" claimed the week's top two rankings in both categories. Those strong "Talent" results paced NBC to an average 1.5 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall for the week of July 5-11, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

In addition to its runner-up finishes in 18-49 and total viewers, NBC ranked #2 for the week among adults, men and women 18-34, was tied for #2 in adults 25-54 and finished tied for #1 among the major networks in men 25-54.

The Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" tied for #1 for the week in adults 18-49 with a 3.4 rating each and ranked #1 and #2 in total viewers with 11.9 million for the Wednesday edition and 11.8 million for the Tuesday telecast. "Talent" also ranked #1 for the week in adults 25-54, teens and other key demographics.

An edition of "America's Got Talent" has been the #1 non-sports telecast in total viewers every week the show has aired this summer, a streak that has now reached six weeks in a row. In adults 18-49, "Talent" has generated the #1 non-sports rating for the last four weeks in a row.

Also ranking among the top 20 programs for the July 5-11 week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49 were Wednesday's "Minute to Win It" (#13, tied), Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU" (#15) and Monday's "Last Comic Standing" (#16, tied).

Primetime averages for the week of July 5-11 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.6/5), NBC (1.5/5), ABC (1.4/5), CBS (1.3/4) and CW (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (6.3 million), NBC (5.1 million), ABC (4.9 million), Fox (4.3 million) and CW (1.0 million).

NBC highlights for the week of July 5-11

* On Monday, "Last Comic Standing" grew week to week by 13 percent in adults 18-49 and won the 10-11 p.m. ET hour in 18-49.

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, matching its top Tuesday rating since June 8.

* Tuesday's "Talent" dominated its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, beating the combined ABC-CBS competition in every key ratings category - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as total viewers.

* On Wednesday, "Minute to Win It" returned to the schedule with NBC's highest non-sports rating in the Wednesday 8 p.m. ET hour since May 12. From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute" ticked off a 33 percent increase in 18-49 rating.

* Also on Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" delivered the #1 results of the night in 18-49 and total viewers.

* Additionally on Wednesday, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" won the 10 p.m. ET hour with the show's top 18-49 rating since June 2.

* NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

* Thursday at 10 and 10:30 p.m. ET, "Community" encores tied for #1 among the major networks in adults 18-34 and ranked #1 outright among men 18-34.

* On Friday, "Friday Night Lights" won the 8 p.m. ET hour in total viewers with its biggest overall audience in four weeks.

* On Sunday, a two-hour encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" won its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49 and all other key demos.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of July 5-11:

On Monday, July 5 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Persons Unknown" averaged a 0.8 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall. "Persons Unknown" delivered its biggest overall audience in three weeks (since June 14), with a 3 percent gain versus the prior week (3.0 million vs. 2.9 million).

Monday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Last Comic Standing" (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) scored week-to-week gains of 13 percent in 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.6) and 6 percent in total viewers (4.4 million vs. 4.2 million). In the two-hour time period, "Last Comic Standing" ranked #1 among the major networks in men 18-34 and men 18-49. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Last Comic Standing" increased its 18-49 rating by 50 percent (to a 2.1 from a 1.4) and its overall viewership by 35 percent or 1.3 million persons (5.0 million vs. 3.7 million).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Last Comic Standing" ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, women 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.

On Tuesday, July 6 at 8 p.m. ET, "Losing It With Jillian" averaged a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Jillian" increased by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.2) and by 6 percent in total viewers (to 4.0 million from 3.8 million).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.4/10 in 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall) generated the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Talent" grew by 28 percent in adult 18-49 rating (to a 3.7 from a 2.9) and by 17 percent or 1.9 million persons in total viewers (to 12.4 million from 10.5 million). "Talent" ranked #2 in 18-49 in the 9-10 p.m. hour and was dominant in all categories from 10-11 p.m.

This special 9-11 p.m. edition of "Talent" matched the show's top Tuesday rating since June 8 and delivered its biggest overall audience since that same date.

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" was #1 outright in all key categories -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 as well as total viewers -- and beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in all those categories.

On Wednesday, July 7 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Minute to Win It" (2.1/7 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall) returned to the NBC primetime schedule with the network's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since May 12, excluding sports. "Minute to Win It" ranked #2 in the time period in 18-49 and #1 among the major networks in total viewers, adults 25-54, men 25-54, men 18-49 and men 18-34.

From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute to Win It" increased by 33 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.4 from a 1.8) and 27 percent or more than 1.7 million persons in total viewers (to 7.8 million from 6.1 million). For its second half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m., "Minute to Win It" ranked #1 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and all key adult-male demos ahead of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" and encore comedies on ABC and CBS.

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.4/10 in 18-49, 11.9 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 18-49 and total-viewer results of the night. "America's Got Talent" won its time period in 18-49, total viewers and numerous other key measures. From its first half-hour to its second, "America's Got Talent" grew by 16 percent in adult 18-49 rating (to a 3.6 from a 3.1) and by 12 percent or 1.3 million persons in total viewers (12.6 million vs. 11.3 million).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.9/6 in adults 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and most other key demographics with "SVU's" top 18-49 rating since June 2. Week to week, "Law & Order: SVU" is up 12 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.7). "Law & Order: SVU" beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults, men and women 18-34.

NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories.

On Thursday, July 8, NBC ran encore telecasts of "Community" from 8-11 p.m. ET. At 8 p.m., running in its regular time period, a rebroadcast of "Community" averaged a 0.8/3 and 2.5 million viewers overall. "Community" matched its highest 18-49 rating in this slot in four weeks (since June 10) and generated its biggest overall audience in five weeks (since June 3).

Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Community" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Community" delivered a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall. At 9:30, an encore "Community" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall. At 10 p.m., a rebroadcast "Community" delivered a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall. And at 10:30, an encore "Community" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

At 10 p.m. ET, "Community" tied for #1 among the major networks in adults 18-34 and finished #1 outright in men 18-34, as did the 10:30 rebroadcast, running opposite CBS's "Mentalist" encore and ABC's original "Boston Med."

On Friday, July 9 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall) finished #2 in the time period in adults 18-49 and was #1 among the major networks in total viewers, adults 25-54 (tie), men 25-54 (tie) and men 18-49.

"Friday Night Lights" delivered its biggest overall viewership in four weeks (since June 11).

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in adults 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) tied for #2 in the time period in adults 18-49 and was #2 outright among the major networks in total viewers. "Dateline" reported its biggest overall audience in three weeks (since June 18) and is up week to week by 10 percent (5.2 million vs. 4.7 million).

On Saturday, July 10 from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of the NBC Movie of the Week "Secrets of the Mountain" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers overall. In the time period, "Secrets of the Mountain" tied for #2 among the major networks in women 18-49 and 25-54.

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall. In the time period, "CI" ranked #2 among the major networks in all key ratings categories.

On Sunday, July 11 from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period among the major networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key categories ahead of CBS's "60 Minutes."

Sunday from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's best 18-49 rating in the time period in five weeks (since hockey's Stanley Cup Finals on June 6). "America's Got Talent" ranked #2 in the time period in 18-49, total viewers and virtually all other key categories.

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, the "America's Got Talent" encore ranked #1 in all key demographics -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 -- and beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-34.
