"Parenthood" Delivers Biggest Percentage Increase from Live+SD to Live+7 in Week 2

NBC Results: "Parenthood" Delivers Biggest Percentage Increase from L+SD to L+7 in Week 2; "Event" Tops New Dramas, "Outsourced" Tops New Comedies

In Week 2 of the new season...

"Parenthood" is the #1 series in terms of percentage increase (+45%, adults 18-49 from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven days").

"The Event" earned the #1 percentage increase among new shows (+32%, tied with "Hawaii Five-0").

"Outsourced" generated the #1 percentage increase among new half-hour comedies (+19%).

"Apprentice" delivered the #1 percentage increase among unscripted shows (+31%).

"The Office" (+33%) and "Community" (+30%) generated the #2 and #3 biggest increases among half-hour comedies.

Live Plus 7 Notes for Week 2 (September 27-October 3):

In the season's second week, "Parenthood" added 45 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 2.87 rating from a 1.98). On a percentage basis, "Parenthood" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime series during week two on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

In the season's second week, "The Office" added 33 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 4.89 rating from a 3.69). On a percentage basis, "The Office" was the #2 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during week two on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW, behind only ABC's "Modern Family."

In the season's second week, "The Event" added 32 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 3.88 rating from a 2.94). On a percentage basis, "The Event" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among new series this season during week two on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW (tied at 32 percent with "Hawaii Five-0," and a slightly higher percentage when taken to a tenth of a point, 32.0 percent vs. 31.7 percent).

Starting with no time-shifted viewing by using its "live only" rating as the base, "The Event" derived 38 percent of its "L+7" rating from time-shifted viewing (1.46 points of a 3.88 rating in L+7), making "The Event" the most time-shifted new primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW on a percentage basis during week two.

In the season's second week, "The Apprentice" added 31 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 1.76 rating from a 1.34). On a percentage basis, "The Apprentice" was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among unscripted primetime series during week two on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

In the season's second week, "Community" added 30 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 2.47 rating from a 1.90). On a percentage basis, "Community" was the #3 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during week two on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW, behind only "Modern Family" and "The Office."

In the season's second week, "Chuck" added 29 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 2.52 rating from a 1.96).

In the season's second week, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" added 28 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure (to a 3.56 rating from a 2.79).
