ADULTS 25-54 AND TOTAL VIEWERS FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 1993
ABC News' "Nightline" ranked as the No. 1 program in late night in Total Viewers (4.14 million), Adults 25-54 (1.72 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.37 million), according to Nielsen Media Research for the week of January 3, 2011. "Nightline" drew its strongest numbers in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 in 4 weeks - since the week of 12/06/10. In addition, the ABC program turned in its highest Adults 18-49 audience in 6 weeks (since week of 11/22/10) and 2nd highest of the season.
Season-to-date, "Nightline" ranks in first place among Total Viewers and A25-54. This is the first time "Nightline" has been in first place at this point in the season since at least the 1993-94 season, when "Letterman" began on CBS.
"Nightline" saw week-to-week and year-ago week increases in Total Viewers (+14% and +11%, respectively), Adults 25-54 (+26% and +11%, respectively) and Adults 18-49 (+22% and +3%, respectively). "Nightline" stood as the only program to grow over the prior week and same week last year in all three Nielsen measures.
For the week, "Nightline" topped NBC's "The Tonight Show" across all key target demos: Total Viewers (+530,000), Adults 25-54 (+170,000) and Adults 18-49 (+150,000). "Nightline" posted its largest advantage over "The Tonight Show" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 in 8 weeks - since week of 11/08/10.
Also for the week, "Nightline" outperformed CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" across all key target demos: Total Viewers (+580,000), Adults 25-54 (+300,000) and Adults 18-49 (+290,000) with its largest margins in all three measures since November - since week of 11/29/10, week of 11/22/10 and week of 11/22/10, respectively.

ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Turns in its Best Adults 18-49 Performance in 6 Weeks, Marking the Show's 2nd-Strongest Numbers This Season
"JKL" Beats NBC's "Fallon" in Total Viewers for the Week,
as a Repeat "JKL" Tops an Original "Fallon" on Friday
"JKL" Dominates CBS' "Ferguson" in Adults 18-49 in 4 out of 5 Nights of the Week
Excluding the NBA Finals-led Broadcasts in June,

During the first week of 2011, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" turned in its best performance in 6 weeks in both Total Viewers (1.82 million) and Adults 18-49 (755,000) - since the week of 11/22/10. Building on the previous week by 29% in viewers and by 25% in young adults (1.41 million and 602,000 in A18-49 on w/o 12/27/10), "JKL" attracted its 3rd-largest audience and its 2nd-highest Adult 18-49 number of the season.
Additionally, "JKL" was up 9% over the same week last year (w/o 1/4/10) in viewers (1.67 million) and 10% in young adults (685,000).
· ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" outdrew NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" in Total Viewers (1.82 million vs. 1.79 million). In fact, a repeat of "JKL" on Friday (1/7/11) outperformed an original of "Fallon" by 9% in viewers (2.06 million vs. 1.89 million).
· ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" bettered CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in both Total Viewers (1.82 million vs. 1.76 million) and Adults 18-49 (755,000 vs. 672,000), marking the 2nd week in a row that "JKL" beat the CBS late-night program in the key young adult demo.
· "JKL" topped CBS' "Ferguson" in Adults 18-49 on 4 of 5 nights of the week, which included a repeat of "JKL" on Friday: Monday - 707,000 vs. 686,000; Wednesday - 806,000 vs. 519,000; Thursday - 894,000 vs. 831,000; Friday - 796,000 vs. 606,000.
· Excluding the NBA Finals-led broadcast in June, "JKL's" Thursday telecast (1/6/11) attracted the ABC late-night program's 2nd-largest Adults 18-49 (894,000) audience on the night in almost one year - since 2/11/10 - behind only premiere week's Thursday telecast (9/23/10).
