SYFY'S HOT NEW DRAMA "BEING HUMAN" SKINS THE COMPETITION TAKING AN EVEN BIGGER BITE OUT OF MONDAY NIGHTS

Viewership Jumps to More Than 2 Million and Key Demos Increase By Double Digits

Being Human Tops MTV's Skins in Week Two

NEW YORK - January 25, 2011 - Syfy's new original drama series Being Human continues to entrance viewers scoring ratings increases for its second episode last night at 9PM ET/PT over its already impressive series launch on January 17. Total viewers in week 2 grew 9% over the premier episode to 2.14 million, +21% in Adults 18-49 to 1.21 million and +18% in Adults 25-54 to 1.16 million.

On the highly competitive evening, the second episode of Being Human at 9PM outperformed the second episode MTV's scripted original Skins at 10PM, by a margin of +41% among Adults 18-49, +182% in Adults 25-54 and +35% in total viewers.

Being Human's appeal with young viewers and, in particular, young female viewers is undeniable with a 36% audience growth in Adults 18-34 (575,000) and attracting 614,000 women 18-49, the best performance in this demo for a Syfy original scripted series since the Warehouse 13 on July 28, 2009.

Being Human continues to be Syfy's most successful scripted winter series launch since January 2005 (Battlestar Galactica).

In Being Human, leading normal lives is a lot harder than it looks for three paranormal roommates - vampire Aidan (Sam Witwer), ghost Sally (Meaghan Rath) and werewolf Josh (Sam Huntington) - who share their secrets and a Boston brownstone. Together they try their best to be human while navigating the complexities of living double lives. Mark Pellegrino (Lost) co-stars as Bishop, Aidan's charismatic but menacing vampire mentor.

Executive Producers are Michael Prupas (The Kennedys, Pillars of the Earth), Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) and Anna Fricke (Men in Trees, Everwood) who are both writers/showrunners, and Rob Pursey and Toby Whithouse. Irene Litinsky is series Producer and Adam Kane (The Mentalist, Heroes) is Co-Executive Producer. Being Human is a Muse Entertainment production in association with ZODIAK USA and is based on the acclaimed UK series, Being Human, created by Toby Whithouse and produced by Touchpaper.

Syfy is a media destination for imagination-based entertainment. With year round acclaimed original series, events, blockbuster movies, classic science fiction and fantasy programming, a dynamic Web site (www.Syfy.com), and a portfolio of adjacent business (Syfy Ventures), Syfy is a passport to limitless possibilities.
