"The Mentalist" Sees Its Way to the Week's #1 Scripted Program

"The Mentalist" Tops All Programming on the Competition, except "Dancing with the Stars" and "American Idol"

THE MENTALIST ranked as the #1 scripted program in viewers during a week of primarily rebroadcasts, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 1, week 32 of the 2010-2011 television season.

THE MENTALIST topped all programming on the competition, except "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars'" performance and results programs. On Friday, ROYAL WEDDING: MODERN MAJESTY won its time period in key measures and was the night's #1 program in adults 18-49.

For the week in viewers: CBS (8.43m), ABC (8.66m), FOX (8.07m) and NBC (5.85m). Season-to-date, CBS (11.68m) is ahead of FOX (9.69m), ABC (8.36m) and NBC (7.12m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged 2.6/07 in adults 25-54 and 1.9/05 in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (3.9/10, tie with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08).

For the week in households: CBS (5.3/09), ABC (5.5/09), FOX (4.8/08) and NBC (3.6/06). Season-to-date, CBS (7.1/12) is ahead of FOX (5.5/09), ABC (5.2/09) and NBC (4.4/07).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

NCIS (R) was second in households (7.2/11) and viewers (11.21m).

SURVIVOR: REDEMPTION ISLAND was second in households (6.4/10), viewers (11.32m), adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: REDEMPTION ISLAND was up +2% in households (from 6.3/10), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09), even in adults 25-54 and added +300,000 viewers (from 11.02m, +3%).

THE BIG BANG THEORY was second in households (6.4/11), viewers (10.71m), adults 25-54 (4.3/12) and adults 18-49 (3.3/10).

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (4.8/07, 7.86m) was second in viewers, adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07).

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in viewers (10.84m) and second in households (6.8/10, -0.2 behind ABC).

THE MENTALIST was first in households (8.5/14), viewers (13.53m), adults 25-54 (3.6/09) and adults 18-49 (2.6/07).

-- CBS was first in households (6.0/10), viewers (9.35m), adults 25-54 (2.5/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/06) for the second consecutive Friday. CBS posted its best Friday delivery in households and viewers since March 11, 2011, and its best in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since March 25, 2011.

ROYAL WEDDING: MODERN MAJESTY (S) was first in households (5.8/11), viewers (8.79m), adults 25-54 (2.5/08) and adults 18-49 (1.8/07). ROYAL WEDDING: MODERN MAJESTY posted the time period's best delivery in both households and viewers since March 26, 2010, its best delivery in adults 25-54 since Jan. 21, 2011, and its best adults 18-49 delivery since March 25, 2011. ROYAL WEDDING: MODERN MAJESTY was the night's #1 program in adults 18-49, and tied with BLUE BLOODS as the night's #1 program in adults 25-54.

CSI: NY was first in households (5.9/10), viewers (9.19m), adults 25-54 (2.4/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/06).

BLUE BLOODS was first in households (6.4/11), viewers (10.06m) and adults 25-54 (2.5/07); it was tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.6/05, with ABC). Compared to the last first-run episode on April 8, 2011, BLUE BLOODS was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.4/07) and even in adults 18-49.

-- On Sunday, CBS was first in households (5.4/09) and viewers (9.00m); the Network was tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.7/07, with both NBC and ABC). CBS was first in viewers for the eighth consecutive week.

60 MINUTES (7:00 PM-7:46 PM) was first in households (6.9/12) and viewers (10.74m); it was second in adults 25-54 (2.3/07) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (1.5/05, with FOX). Note: Breaking news preempted the final 14 minutes of 60 MINUTES in the Pacific time zone.

THE AMAZING RACE 18 was first in households (5.3/08), viewers (9.20m), adults 25-54 (3.5/08) and adults 18-49 (2.6/07).
