CTD Claims the Top 9 First-Run Syndicated Shows of the Sweep

LOS ANGELES - June 8, 2011 - CBS Television Distribution is the daytime leader, with the top 3 shows of the May sweep - JUDGE JUDY, THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW and DR. PHIL.

CTD also holds the top nine highest-rated syndicated first-run shows of the May Sweep.

JUDGE JUDY was the #1 show in syndication with a 6.7 HH AA% rating, up +49% from the May 2010 sweep.

Newsmagazines were strong during the sweep with ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT on top, with a 4.0 HH AA%, as longtime host Mary Hart shot her last episode. INSIDE EDITION finished second among magazines with a 3.0 HH AA%, up +3% vs. May 2010. THE INSIDER also posted growth, up +6% (1.8 HH AA% vs. 1.7).

Airing its final episodes, THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW grew more than any other talk show, up +28% sweep to sweep (6.0 HH AA% vs. 4.7). OPRAH's final episode on May 25 scored an 11.5 HH AA%, its highest single episode rating in more than 16 years. OPRAH goes out on top as the #1 talk show for the 99th consecutive sweep.

DR. PHIL continued its streak as the #2 talk show, growing +11% vs. the previous year's May sweep (3.1 HH AA% vs. 2.8). DR. PHIL has been the second-highest rated talk show since its debut in 2002.

The top ranked game show WHEEL OF FORTUNE increased +3% sweep to sweep (6.5 HH AA% vs. 6.3).

Court show SWIFT JUSTICE WITH NANCY GRACE is the #1 freshman series of the sweep, scoring a 1.7 HH AA%.
