VERSUS THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR, JAY IS UP 12 PERCENT IN 18-49 VIEWERS, JIMMY IS UP 18 PERCENT AND CARSON DALY GROWS BY 22 PERCENT

WITH MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY RESULTS EXCLUDED DUE TO NHL OVERRUNS, JAY AND JIMMY BOTH TOP ABC AND CBS COMPETITION IN ALL KEY RATINGS CATEGORIES

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 23, 2011 - NBC's late-night lineup has generated notable gains versus the same week last year to deliver #1 finishes over all cable and broadcast competition for the late-night ratings week of June 13-17.

Versus the same week last year, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" is up 12 percent in viewers 18-49 and 6 percent in total viewers. At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" is up versus the year-ago week by 18 percent in viewers 18-49 and 21 percent in total viewers, while at 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" is up 22 percent in 18-49 viewers and 14 percent in total viewers. Note that Monday and Wednesday NBC telecasts were delayed by NHL hockey and are excluded from these averages.

At 11:35 p.m. ET, "Tonight" won the hour over all cable and broadcast competition in viewers 18-49 and total viewers and topped CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in every key ratings category: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. "Late Show" and "Kimmel" were encores on Friday.

Jay delivered his biggest 18-49 audience in four weeks (since the week of May 16-20).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon out-rated CBS's encore telecasts of "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and ABC's "Kimmel" in all key ratings categories.

For the week, "Tonight" averaged 1.370 million adults 18-49, up from its 1.225 million for the same week last year, and 3.935 million viewers overall, up from 3.698 million. "Late Night" averaged 814,000 adults 18-49, up from 689,000, and 1.866 million viewers overall, up from 1.538 million. "Last Call" delivered 473,000 adults 18-49, up from 388,000, and 992,000 viewers overall, up from 868,000.

Jay Leno has ranked #1 for 37 of 39 weeks this season versus "Late Show" in viewers 18-49 and total viewers. Jimmy Fallon has ranked #1 versus "Late Late Show" in viewers 18-49 for 39 of 39 weeks this season. In total viewers, Jimmy has out-delivered "Late Late Show" during 24 of the last 31 weeks.
