"Ghost Hunters" Season 7.5 Premiere Uncovers 1.65 Million Total Viewers During Wednesday, August 24 Return on Syfy

"GHOST HUNTERS" SEASON 7.5 PREMIERE UNCOVERS 1.65 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS DURING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24 RETURN ON SYFY

NEW YORK - August 25, 2011 - The season 7.5 premiere of Syfy's hit series Ghost Hunters -- the most popular paranormal franchise on television -- scared up 1.65 million total viewers, 952,000 Adults 18-49 and 937,000 Adults 25-54, while averaging a 1.2 household rating, during its telecast on Wednesday, August 24 from 9-10PM (ET/PT).

The Adults 18-49 is the best performance in that demo since the February 23 season 7 premiere, up +16% above the 2011 to-date average for the series. Among Adults 25-54, last night's the season 7.5 delivery is +8% above the 2011 average for the series.

In the premiere episode, Jason and Grant were forced to leave the Pacific Aviation Museum investigation in Hawaii and head back to Rhode Island when TAPS received an urgent call from a family in need.

In October 2004, Syfy introduced Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson -- plumbers by day, Ghost Hunters by night. Jason and Grant head up TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), a close-knit organization of volunteer paranormal researchers -- ordinary people who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of otherworldly activity.
