OXYGEN'S "BACHELORETTE PARTY: LAS VEGAS" IS NETWORK'S BEST FRESHMAN DOCU-SERIES PREMIERE
NEW YORK - October 18, 2011 - On the heels of this summer's blockbuster movie "Bridesmaids," Oxygen's newest series "Bachelorette Party: Las Vegas" opened as the network's best freshman docu-series premiere ever, according to Nielsen Media Research. The series set in Las Vegas and documenting over-the-top bachelorette celebrations delivered total viewers (814,000), A18-49 (575,000) and W18-49 (443,000). The premiere episode saw diva bride-to-be Brasie and her bridesmaids get the VIP treatment at the Palms Casino Resort, complete with a surprise visit from her favorite rapper, Too Short. Tensions rose as Brasie, the self-proclaimed "Donald Trump of brides," threatened to fire her bridesmaids if they did not meet her expectations.
Additionally, the latest episode of "Bad Girls Club" at 9pm delivered over one million (1.181 MM) viewers propelling it to the #5 cable entertainment telecast of the day. In the hour, Oxygen was the #1 cable network among W18-34.
