"Bones" Season Premiere, Tuesday Comedy Returns and First "The X Factor" Voting Round Boost FOX's Year-Over-Year Gains

FOX'S STRONGEST FALL EVER CONTINUES

BONES Season Premiere, Tuesday Comedy Returns and First THE X FACTOR Voting Round Boost FOX's Year-Over-Year Gains

Airing its regular schedule of entertainment programming last week, FOX increased its year-over-year gains among both Adults 18-49 (+17%) and Total Viewers (+20%) and kept up its streak as the only broadcast network to improve its performance to date versus last Fall. Thanks to the return of GLEE, NEW GIRL and RAISING HOPE, and the very first voting round of THE X FACTOR, FOX averaged a 3.0/8 rating last week and continues to rank No. 1 among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens this season.

In addition, FOX's Monday dramas and Tuesday comedies saw significant increases from DVR viewership last week. Both TERRA NOVA and HOUSE posted +48% ratings gains within the first three days after airing, while NEW GIRL and GLEE saw lifts of +36% and +33%, respectively. These increases were all higher than the lifts the shows received after their previous original telecasts.

TUESDAY

After a three week hiatus, GLEE came back to a 3.0/8. GLEE ranked #2 in the 8pm hour among Adults 18-49 and #1 in Adults 18-34 and Teens and was the highest rated program of the night in Teens.

At 9pm NEW GIRL returned to a 3.6/9 after three weeks off the air and still managed to be the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34. NEW GIRL won its 9pm half hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

At 9:30pm RAISING HOPE delivered a 2.5/6 and won its half hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

FOX ranked #2 for the night among Adults 18-49 and #1 in Adults 18-34 and Teens.

WEDNESDAY

8:00-10:00 THE X FACTOR-WED: (Adults 18-49: 4.0/11, 11.8 Mil Total Viewers)

FOX won Wednesday night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens. This marks the 10th time THE X FACTOR has won the night airing against entertainment programming (excluding only Sunday, 10/16/11).

The Top 12 finalists performed on THE X FACTOR and drew a 4.0/11. In Adults 18-34, THE X FACTOR held onto 100% of its most recent Wednesday telecast rating (3.3 on 10/5/11).

In addition, THE X FACTOR built throughout the night and was up +19% in its last half-hour vs. its first among Adults 18-49 (half-hours: 3.6 > 3.9 > 4.1 > 4.3).

THURSDAY

8:00-9:00 THE X FACTOR-THU: (Adults 18-49: 3.7/11, 11.6 Mil Total Viewers)

9:00-10:00 BONES (P): (Adults 18-49: 3.3/8, 10.0 Mil Total Viewers)

FOX won Thursday night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens - marking a victory for FOX on every Thursday so far this season among Adults 18-49.

The first live results show of THE X FACTOR posted a 3.7/11, equal to its most recent Thursday telecast three weeks ago from 8-10p (10/13/11, 3.7/10), while up +6% in the 8-9p hour (vs. 3.5/10, 8-9p on 10/13/11). THE X FACTOR results show retained 97% of Wednesday's live performance show in the 8-9p hour (3.8/11).

THE X FACTOR grew substantially from start to finish, up +21% in its second half-hour vs. its first (Adults 18-49: 3.4/10 > 4.1/11) and was the highest rated program of the night in Teens.

At 9pm the season premiere of BONES posted a 3.3/8, up +22% from its 8p premiere last season (9/23/10, 2.7/8). In fact, BONES delivered its highest rated premiere since season 4 in Adults 18-49 (9/3/08) and its highest rated fall telecast in three years (since 11/12/08).

The BONES premiere matched last spring's post-Idol average (3.3) with originals among Adults 18-49 and is up +8% among Adults 18-34 (2.7 vs. 2.5). BONES also outperformed its Fall 2010 average by +32% among Adults 18-49 (3.3 vs. 2.5) and +17% among Adults 18-34 (2.7 vs. 2.3).

BONES outperformed ABC's Grey's Anatomy by +5% in Total Viewers (10.0 vs. 9.5 Mil) and won the 9pm hour among Teens (2.1), posting its highest rated premiere in the demo since its series debut (2.3/8 on 9/13/05).

FRIDAY
