HALLMARK CHANNEL COZIES UP TO 4.9 MILLION VIEWERS WITH "A PRINCESS FOR CHRISTMAS"

#1 Cable Network in Prime Time for the Day Among Households

#1 Program of the Day on Ad-Supported Cable Movie

On the heels of last month's record-breaking triumph for Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Christmas" holiday programming initiative, 4.9 million unduplicated viewers tuned in for the original movie premiere of "A Princess for Christmas" on Saturday, December 3rd. The film delivered a 3.2 HH rating and ranked as the #1 program of the day on ad-supported cable, reinforcing the strength of Hallmark Channel's most sought out programming during the holiday season. In addition, "A Princess for Christmas" was the #1 rated ad-supported cable movie of the week.

"A Princess for Christmas" placed among the Top 5 in key demo ratings for the time period (8-10pm), which includes #1 in HH (3.2 rtg) and #1 in P2+ (1.6 rtg). Among W25-54 rtg, the film was the 2nd highest cable program of the day as well as the #2 movie of the week. Placing in the Top 10 for the time period in key demo delivery, "A Princess for Christmas" was also #1 in HH (2,740,000) and #1 in P2+ (3,547,000), boosting Hallmark Channel to be the highest-rated cable network in Prime Time for the day among HH (2.7 HH rtg).

When her sister and brother-in-law are tragically killed in an accident, Jules Daly (McGrath) suddenly finds herself guardian to her young niece Maddie and nephew Milo in "A Princess for Christmas". As she struggles with parenting her orphaned niece and nephew, she tries to unsuccessfully balance her personal life with the daily hysteria of becoming an overnight parent. When she receives a curious invitation from the children's absent grandfather (Moore), the Duke of Castlebury Hall, to spend Christmas with the children, she hesitantly accepts. This Christmas, the family won't lament what has been lost, but will celebrate all that has been found! The film stars Katie McGrath and Sir Roger Moore.
