UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 15, 2012 - In a late-night week programmed mostly with encore telecasts, NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has earned #1 finishes in viewers 18-49 and total viewers for the week of March 5-9 over the ABC and CBS time-period competition.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, rebroadcasts of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" delivered bigger audiences than CBS's original "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in viewers 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories.

"Tonight" delivered a bigger 18-49 audience than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" for the 11th time in 12 weeks and Jimmy Fallon attracted a bigger 18-49 audience than "Late Late Show" for a 15th week in a row.

Through the first 25 weeks of the season, "Tonight" has increased its total-viewer margin over "Late Show" to 14 percent (3.756 million vs. 3.300 million), up from the year-ago season-to-date advantage of 7 percent. Jimmy Fallon has established a total-viewer lead over "Late Late Show" this season of 16 percent (1.805 million vs. 1.554 million), up from last year's advantage of 0.2 percent. Jimmy has also increased his season-to-date lead over "Late Late Show" in adults 18-34, to 42 percent (287,000 vs. 202,000) up from last year's 28 percent, and in adults 25-54, to 11 percent (887,000 vs. 800,000) up from 3 percent at this point last season.
