truTV's Hit Series "Lizard Lick Towing" Draws 2.4 Million Viewers, Tops Timeslot with Adults 18-49 and Male Demos

truTV's breakout hit Lizard Lick Towing turned in an exceptional performance Monday night, drawing a total of 2.4 million viewers. Lizard Lick Towing scored competitive victories among truTV's target demos, with the episode ranking as basic cable's #1 entertainment program in the 10 p.m. timeslot among adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49. It was also the #2 entertainment program in its timeslot (behind TNT's Perception) in delivery of total viewers.

Compared to the same night last year,Lizard Lick Towing brought triple-digit growth to its timeslot among key adult and male demos, as well as among total viewers. The episode also scored a median age of 38, six years younger than truTV's performance in the same timeslot last year.

One of truTV's biggest hits, Lizard Lick Towing is named after Ron & Amy Shirley's Wendell, N.C., towing and repo company, which they run with the help of Ron's best buddy, Bobby Brantley. Ron Shirley is the hulking, tattooed owner and boss who has a colorful way of turning a phrase. His wife, Amy, a former champion power lifter, works the main office. And Bobby acts as Ron's right-hand man as they go about the difficult task of tracking down and repossessing property and dealing with irate owners. The current second season finds Ron & Amy's business threatened by a rival tow operation. Meanwhile, Bobby takes a turn trying to run the company., and Amy decides to return to the world of competitive weightlifting.
