TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles" Closes Out Summer with 6 Million Viewers, Largest Audience for Season 3

TNT's hit series Rizzoli & Isles closed out its summer run last night with 6 million viewers, the drama's largest Live + Same Day audience of the season. That's up 36% over the previous episode and +7% over last year's summer finale. Rizzoli & Isles currently ranks third behind TNT's The Closer and Major Crimes among basic cable's most-watched scripted series this summer.

Rizzoli & Isles also showed solid demo growth over its most recent episode, with 1.6 million adults 18-49 (+21%) and 2.0 million adults 25-54 (+10%).

Last night's performance by Rizzoli & Isles brings its Live + Same Day average this summer to 5.4 million viewers, 1.4 million adults 18-49 and 1.8 million adults 25-54. The show has grown considerably through time-shifted viewing, with the first eight episodes averaging more than 8 million viewers in Live + 7, including 2.4 million adults 18-49 and 2.9 million adults 25-54. Rizzoli & Isles is set to return this November to finish up its third season.
