DISCOVERY CHANNEL CONTINUES TO DOMINATE FRIDAY WITH "BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE" AND "YUKON MEN"

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Discovery's 'Do or Die Friday' lineup of BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE and YUKON MEN were the top two programs in cable among Men (excluding sports) and easily dominated the night for the third week in a row. BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE once again produced big ratings on Friday, September 7 at 9pm ET/PT. BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE was the #1 non-sports program in cable among M25-54 delivery and #2 among P 25-54 and M 18-49 delivery. Earning a 1.13 HH / 0.89 P25-54, the one-hour program delivered an average of 1.48 million viewers P2+.

New series YUKON MEN came in right behind with big numbers on Friday, September 7 at 10pm ET/PT. YUKON MEN was the #2 non-sports program in cable among M25-54. Earning a 1.13 HH/ 0.84 P25-54, this one-hour program delivered an average of 1.52 million viewers P2+.

BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE follows three gold mining teams run by driven dredge captains whose very livelihoods depend on mining this wet and frozen gold. Split second thinking, extreme focus, and team work are key to staying alive under the ice. The risks are great, and the payoff is even greater.

In new Discovery series YUKON MEN, the residents of Tanana, Alaska are about to face one of the most brutal winters on record. People struggle to find food and heat; battle life-threatening predators just to survive. Boys grow into men quickly here because they must help the family survive. Father-son bonding and tensions take on a new meaning in this environment. The stakes are high in Tanana, and to defy the odds, to survive and to battle the harsh Alaskan wilderness, the residents must overcome obstacles, stick together and prevail.

BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE returns this Friday, September 14 at 9pm ET/PT, followed by YUKON MEN at 10pm ET/PT.
