Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos as "The Voice," "Revolution" Grow from Last Week

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

NBC (11.47 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.3, #1) was the network to beat as the Peacock saw week-to-week growth from "The Voice" (12.79 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1) and "Revolution" (8.82 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 3.4, #2).

CBS (8.23 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) then took home the silver with its mix of "How I Met Your Mother" (8.08 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 3.2, #4), "Partners" (6.21 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T6), "2 Broke Girls" (9.21 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.3, #3), "Mike & Molly" (9.03 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 3.0, #5) and "Hawaii Five-0" (8.44 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T8).

Next up was ABC (12.60 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #3) with original installments of "Dancing with the Stars" (13.47 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T6) and "Castle" (10.87 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.75 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) was out of the hunt with its coverage of the "NLCS, Game 2" (4.75 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #10).

And finally, week two of "90210" (1.07 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and "Gossip Girl" (0.76 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) on The CW (0.92 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "90210" delivered a 1.0 rating while "Gossip Girl" posted a 0.8 rating.

* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.3/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.3/6; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 3.4/8; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/6.

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; "Nightline," 1.0/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

* At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/2).

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (10/17/11):

CBS (11.54 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.0, #1) was the top demo draw on Monday with its usual mix of "How I Met Your Mother" (9.77 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 4.1, #3), "2 Broke Girls" (11.29 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 4.3, #2), "Two and a Half Men" (14.85 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 5.2, #1), "Mike & Molly" (11.59 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.9, #4) and "Hawaii Five-0" (10.87 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 3.1, #T6).

ABC (15.48 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2) then was the most-watched network with new episodes of "Dancing With the Stars" (17.47 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.2, #5) and "Castle" (11.50 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #9).

Next up was FOX (8.17 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.9, #3) with fresh installments of "Terra Nova" (7.97 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.7, #8) and "House" (8.37 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 3.1, #T6).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.79 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) continued to struggle with a new "The Sing-Off" (4.32 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.6, #10) and a repeat of "Prime Suspect" (2.74 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11).

And finally, new episodes of "Gossip Girl" (1.31 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13) and "Hart of Dixie" (1.75 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #12) on The CW (1.53 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) rounded out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Gossip Girl" delivered a 1.1 rating while "Dixie" posted a 1.2 rating.
