Animal Planet Scares Up Great Ratings in October

ANIMAL PLANET SCARES UP GREAT RATINGS IN OCTOBER

-- Double-digit Gains for the Month Keep Network on Track for Most Watched Year Ever -

(New York, New York, October 31, 2012) -- Animal Planet earned a wicked October with double-digit ratings gains in prime across all major demos including P2+ (+12%, 562K), Households (+12%, 431K), P25-54 (+17%, 236K), P18-49 (+16%, 215K), W25-54 (+22%, 122K) and M25-54 (+13%, 114K). This marks the network's 11thconsecutive month of year-over-year delivery growth among P2+ P25-54, and P18-49.

The stellar October ratings performance is keeping Animal Planet on track to achieve its most-watched year ever in prime and today day respectively among Household (482K, 346K), P25-54 (296K, 192K) and P18-49 (273K, 184K).

The network's October success was driven by record-high prime performances for the new seasons of PIT BULLS AND PAROLEES and TOO CUTE!

PIT BULLS & PAROLEES ranks among the top performing series on the Animal Planet with the "Face Off" episode, which aired October 13, delivering more than 1.1 million P2+ viewers (1.11M) and scoring a series high among HH (847K), W25-54 (407K) and W18-49 (376K).

In addition, the second season of TOO CUTE! to-date is delivering 1.1M P2+ viewers. The "Jungle Kitties & Baby Skunks" episode which aired October 20, became its most watched episode ever delivering 1.4 million P2+ viewers.

In this season of TOO CUTE!, the cuteness expands from kittens and puppies to include some more unusual pets: piglets, hedgehogs and dwarf rabbits.
