Out of 17 Talk Shows in the Market this Season, Newcomer "Katie" Stands Among the Top-Tier of Syndicated Talk Shows Across Key Measures

Based on National ratings for the week of October 22, 2012, "Katie" earned the No. 1 position among all freshmen syndicated talk shows for the 7th week in a row in Households (1.9 rating), Total Viewers (2.500 million) and Women 25-54 (1.0 rating). During the week, "Katie" continued to lead by double to triple-digit percentages over "Steve Harvey" (1.2 HH rating, 1.650 million viewers and 0.9 W25-54 rating), "Jeff Probst" (0.7 HH rating, 921,000 viewers and 0.4 W25-54 rating), "Ricki Lake" (0.7 HH rating, 928,000 viewers and 0.5 W25-54 rating) and "Trisha" (0.5 HH rating, 688,000 viewers and 0.4 W25-54 rating). In fact, "Katie" is performing as TV's strongest new syndicated talk show since 2009 among Households, Total Viewers and Women 25-54 - going back to the debut season of "Dr. Oz."

· "Katie" was up week to week with Total Viewers (+2%), Women 18-49 (+17%) and Women 18-34 (+25%), while retaining 100% of its week-ago delivery in Households and Women 25-54.

· "Katie" generated its biggest overall audience in 6 weeks (since w/o 9/10/12), equaled a best-since-debut number in Households and scored its strongest week ever with Women 18-34.

· Out of 17 total programs in the market this season, freshman "Katie" stands among the top-tier of syndicated talkers in Homes (No. 6), Total Viewers (No. 6) and Women 25-54 (No. 6).

"Katie" is executive-produced by Katie Couric and Jeff Zucker and is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Co-executive producers are Kathy Samuels and Michael Bass and the program is directed by Joseph Terry.
