Network Moves into First Place for the Season Among Adults 25-54

"The Big Bang Theory" Tops All Entertainment Programs in Viewers and Key Demos

"Criminal Minds" is Week's Top Drama in Adults 18-49

CBS was first in viewers for the ninth time in 11 weeks and moved into first place for the season in adults 25-54 (tie), with THE BIG BANG THEORY as the #1 entertainment program in viewers and key demographics and PERSON OF INTEREST, the fastest-growing primetime program, topping all dramas, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 9.

THE BIG BANG THEORY was the week's #1 scripted program in viewers and adults 18-49, followed by TWO AND A HALF MEN and 2 BROKE GIRLS, ranked second and third in adults 18-49.

PERSON OF INTEREST, the fastest-growing show on network television, added +3.63 million viewers this season, and was the #1-ranked drama of the week in viewers for the third time this season. The second-year series also ranks as the fastest-growing network drama in adults 18-49, adding +0.5 of a rating point. CRIMINAL MINDS was the week's top drama in adults 18-49 (tie).

A rebroadcast special of NCIS had more viewers than any scripted program on the competition.

All of CBS's Thursday lineup posted year-to-year growth this week with gains of +5% in viewers, +7% in adults 25-54 and +3% in adults 18-49 compared to same night last year. Season-to-date, CBS is up +16% in adults 18-49 and +14% in both viewers and adults 25-54 on Thursday.

CBS dominated the week's program rankings with four of the top 10 programs and every single program ranked from #11 through #22. CBS has had the #1 drama, #1 comedy, #1 news program and #1 new show in viewers every week of the season-to-date.

For the week in viewers: CBS (9.36m), NBC (7.76m), FOX (6.12m) and ABC (5.69m). Season-to-date: CBS (11.64m), ABC (8.95m), NBC (8.89m) and FOX (6.87m).

For the week in households: CBS (5.9/09), NBC (4.8/08), ABC and FOX (3.7/06, each). Season-to-date: CBS (7.4/12), ABC (5.7/09), NBC (5.5/09) and FOX (4.2/07).

In key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (3.0/07, -0.1 behind NBC) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.3/06, with FOX). Season-to-date, CBS is tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and is a solid second in adults 18-49 (2.8/08).

In the Monday to Friday 10:00 PM hour in Week #11, CBS was first in households (5.9/10), viewers (9.15m), adults 25-54 (2.7/07) and adults 18-49 (2.2/06). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (8.1/14), viewers (12.51m), adults 25-54 (3.6/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/08) Monday to Friday in the 10:00 PM hour.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (R) (S) (8:00-9:02 PM) was first in children 2-11 (4.8/15) and children 6-11 (4.3/14) and was second in households (5.5/09), viewers (10.11m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09), adults 18-49 (2.9/08) and adults 18-34 (1.8/06). RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER is broadcast television's top rated program this season in both children 2-11 and children 6-11.

NCIS 9:00 PM SPECIAL (R) (S) (9:02-10:00 PM) was first in households (7.0/11), viewers (11.06m) and adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.0/05, -0.1 behind NBC's first-run programming).

VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW (S) won its time slot in households (5.9/10), viewers (9.32m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08), adults 18-49 (3.5/10) and adults 18-34 (4.1/10). VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW was the night's #1 program in both adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

On Wednesday, CBS was first in households (5.7/09) and viewers (9.12m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.3/08, with FOX) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.5/07).

SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES was first in households (6.4/10), viewers (10.64m), adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/08). SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES posted its largest audience since Sept. 19, 2012 (the opening episodes of this edition of SURVIVOR), best adults 25-54 rating since Oct. 24, 2012 and best adults 18-49 ratings since Oct. 3, 2012.

CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (7.1/11), viewers (11.33m), adults 25-54 (3.9/09) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08). CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in viewers and adults 18-49 (tied with "Duck Dynasty").

-- On Thursday, CBS was first in households (8.3/13), viewers (13.27m), adults 25-54 (4.5/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09).

THE BIG BANG THEORY swept its time period, finishing first in households (10.3/17), viewers (16.95m), adults 25-54 (6.9/19), adults 18-49 (5.2/16) and adults 18-34 (3.4/12). Compared to the same night last year, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +21% in households, +17% in adults 25-54, +13% in adults 18-49 and +10% in adults 18-34. THE BIG BANG THEORY was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

-- TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (8.4/13), viewers (13.50m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11) and tied for first in adults 18-34 (2.5/08, with FOX). Compared to the same night last year (RULES OF ENGAGEMENT), TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +38% in households, +26% in adults 25-54, +33% in adults 18-49 and +79% in adults 18-34.

PERSON OF INTEREST was first in households (8.7/13), viewers (14.18m) and adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, -0.1 behind ABC). Compared to last year, PERSON OF INTEREST was up +10% in households, +8% in adults 25-54 and +4% in adults 18-49.

ELEMENTARY was first in households (6.7/11), viewers (10.31m) and adults 25-54 (3.0/07) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.1/06).

-- On Friday, CBS was first in households (6.3/11), viewers (9.70m) and adults 25-54 (2.2/06) and was second in adults 18-49 (1.5/05, -0.1 behind NBC). Compared to last year, CBS was up +75% in households, +22% in adults 25-54 and +7% in adults 18-49.

UNDERCOVER BOSS was first in households (5.3/09), viewers (7.99m), adults 25-54 (2.3/07) and adults 18-49 (1.6/06). Compared to last year ("A Gifted Man"), UNDERCOVER BOSS was up +5% in adults 25-54.

CSI: NY was first in households (6.5/11), viewers (9.95m) and adults 25-54 (2.1/06) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (1.5/054, with ABC). CSI: NY was even in adults 18-49 and added +90,000 viewers (from 9.86m, +1%) compared to last week.

BLUE BLOODS was first in households (7.2/13) and viewers (11.17m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.2/06, with NBC) and was second in adults 18-49 (1.4/04). Compared to last year (a rerun), BLUE BLOODS was up +67% in households, +38% in adults 25-54 and +27% in adults 18-49.

THE FLIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (R) (S) (9:00-10:00 PM) was first in children 2-11 (1.8/06) and children 6-11 (1.5/05) and was second in households (2.2/04), viewers (3.94m), adults 25-54 (1.2/03) and adults 18-49 (1.0/03).
