"TONIGHT" AND "LATE NIGHT" DELIVER BIGGER 18-49 AND OVERALL AUDIENCES THAN THE ABC AND CBS COMPETITION IN THEIR TIME PERIODS IN ALL KEY CATEGORIES

FOR THE SEASON, JAY INCREASES HIS YEAR-AGO MARGINS OVER 'LATE SHOW' IN VIEWERS 18-34, 18-49 AND 25-54, PLUS TOTAL VIEWERS, AND JIMMY EXTENDS HIS LEADS OVER 'LATE LATE SHOW' IN 18-49 AND 18-34

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - January 10, 2013 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" have achieved #1 finishes for the week of December 31-January 4, outscoring the ABC and CBS competition in their time periods in viewers 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories. Note that Monday and Tuesday telecasts were preempted or excluded from the weekly averages due to the New Year's holiday and that CBS's "Late Late Show" and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" were encores last week.

Season to date for the 2012-13 season, "Tonight" has stretched its leads versus one year ago over CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" in viewers 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 plus total viewers. In viewers 18-49, "Tonight" has established a margin over "Late Show" of 14 percent (1.053 million vs. 920,000), eliminating last year's "Late Show" advantage of 1 percent. Jay has also generated a 25-54 advantage this season of 10 percent (1.339 million vs. 1.212 million), up from last year's 0.3 percent, has stretched his 18-34 lead to 19 percent (350,000 vs. 293,000), up from last year's 14 percent, and has increased his total-viewer margin to 14 percent (3.546 million vs. 3.106 million), up from last year's 13 percent.

Jimmy Fallon has established a 20 percent lead over "Late Late Show" this season in viewers 18-49 (681,000 vs. 568,000), up from 15 percent at this point last season, and has increased his lead in 18-34 viewers to 48 percent (293,000 vs. 198,000), up from last year's 47 percent.

"Tonight" delivered a bigger 18-49 audience than "Late Show" for the seventh week in a row, while Jimmy Fallon has attracted a bigger 18-49 audience than "Late Late Show" for 13 weeks in a row.
