TBS's "Cougar Town" Scores Its Best Performance of the Season in Live + 3 Delivery of Key Adult Demos Last Week

TBS's Cougar Town scored its best performance of the season in Live + 3 delivery of key adult demos last week. Tuesday night's episode garnered a season-best 1.8 million adults 18-49, a boost of +18% over the prior week. The series also drew a season-best 842,000 adults 18-34, a +35% boost over the prior week. Overall, last Tuesday's episode has drawn 2.7 million viewers in Live + 3, the second best performance of the season and a rise of +7% over the previous week's episode.

TBS's competition series King of the Nerds garnered 1.8 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery for last Thursday's episode, with more than 1.1 million adults 18-49. The show scored strong growth among the younger set, averaging 622,000 adults 18-34, +9% over the prior week.

The Big Bang Theory once again scored all of basic cable's Top 15 sitcom telecasts for the week with total viewers, along with 13 of the Top 15 with adults 18-49 and 12 of the Top 15 with adults 18-34.

TBS's late-night series CONAN scored across-the-board growth last week, averaging half a million adults 18-49 (+10% over the prior week) and 292,000 adults 18-34 (+22%). Among total viewers (794,000) the show was up 4% over the previous week. Meanwhile in time-shifted viewing, CONAN drew 926,000 viewers; 630,000 adults 18-49; and 327,000 adults 18-34 in Live + 7 delivery for the week of Jan. 21.

Adult Swim

Adult Swim's weekly Total Day Delivery swept its targeted demos once more, ranking #1 among all adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-24, 18-34, & 18-49 on basic cable. Compared to the same week in 2012, Total day delivery grew among adults 18-24 by 1%, adults 18-34 by 9%, adults 18-49 by 12%, men 18-24 by 3%, men 18-34 by 13% and men 18-49 by 15%.

In Prime Time, Adult Swim ranked #3 on basic cable for delivery of adults 18-34 (behind AMC and TBS). Versus the same week in 2012, Prime Time delivery grew among adults 18-34 by 12%, adults 18-49 by 14%, adults 18-24 by 7% and among all key men between 2% and 10%.

A new episode of the original series Robot Chicken (Sunday, 12 a.m.) grew its targeted adults and men demos mostly by double-digits vs. the same time period last year - adults 18-34 by 77%, adults 18-24 by 68%, adults 18-49 by 105%, men 18-34 by 54%, men 18-24 by 4% and men 18-49 by 75%.

Saturday's premiere episode of The Cleveland Show (10:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among adults 18-34/18-24 and men 18-34/18-24, increasing all adults and male demos by double-digits, ranging between 20% and 76%.

Adult Swim's overall programming - including Family Guy, Robot Chicken and American Dad - accounted for 19 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week with adults 18-34, and 24 of the top 50 telecasts with men 18-34, both more than any other network.

truTV

truTV ranked as one of cable's Top 10 entertainment networks for the week in primetime delivery of its targeted men 18-49 demographic. Compared to same week last year, the network was up 6% among total viewers and 7% among adults 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 18-34 in primetime.

truTV's Monday night hit Lizard Lick Towing got the week off to a strong start with 2.1 million viewers, 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 653,000 men 18-49, ranking among basic cable's Top 5 programs in the 10 p.m. timeslot with all three groups.

truTV's hit series Hardcore Pawn closed out its sixth season last Tuesday night with 3.4 million viewers, making it the largest audience in the network's history. The show ranked as basic cable's #1 unscripted program in the 9 p.m. timeslot with adults 18-49 (1.5 million) and men 18-49 (916,000). Among all basic cable programs in the timeslot, Hardcore Pawn ranked #2 with key demos, coming in second only to TBS. For its sixth season, Hardcore Pawn averaged 2.6 million viewers, up 14% compared to season five. The series also averaged 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 678,000 men 18-49.

Tuesday night's episode of the new truTV hit Hardcore Pawn: Chicago scored 2.2 million viewers, which is up 8% over the prior week and ranks as the show's second best performance to date. It also pulled in 1 million adults 18-49 and 544,000 men 18-49. Competitively, it ranked among basic cable's Top 5 programs in the 9:30 p.m. timeslot among adults 18-49 and total viewers, and among the Top 5 entertainment programs in its timeslot with key male demos.

truTV's brand new series Guinness World Records(R) Gone Wild launched Thursday night with 1.4 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery, including 838,000 adults 18-49. It ranked basic cable's #1 entertainment program in the 8 p.m. timeslot among men 18-49 and as the #1 unscripted program among total viewers and key adult demos. The audience's median age was a remarkably young 36. In addition, the show grew its 8 p.m. timeslot by +80% compared to the same night last year. Among key demos, it scored triple-digit growth over the same night last year, as well as compared to the prior four weeks.

truTV's hit series Impractical Jokers is enjoying a spectacular second season. Thursday night, the series drew its biggest audience yet, with more than 2 million viewers. In truTV's key demos demos, Impractical Jokers drew an impressive 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 661,000 men 18-49. It ranked among basic cable's Top 5 programs in the 10 p.m. timeslot among total viewers, adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and men 18-49. Compared to its first season Impractical Jokers is up double digits across the board, with total viewers growing by +36%, adults 18-49 by +49% and men 18-49 by +28%.

Cartoon Network

Across the second week of February 2013, Cartoon Network ranked as basic cable's #1 network for Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, and #1 in Total Day delivery of boys 9-14.

Cartoon Network was Television's #1 destination for all boy demos on Monday Night (7-9 p.m.), while #1 among boys 6-11 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night.

Among the network's original programming, an all-new episode of Adventure Time (Monday, 7:30 p.m.) was the #1 telecast of the day among kids & boys 9-14, and #1 in its time period among boys 2-11/6-11. Additionally, a new episode of Regular Show (8 p.m.) was #1 in its timeslot with kids 9-14 and all boys 2-11/6-11/9-14.

Thursday night's new episode of Cartoon Network's newest original live-action series Incredible Crew (8 p.m.) ranked #1 on all television in its time period among boys 6-11, and #1 on basic cable among boys 9-14. Right before that, a new episode of Annoying Orange (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boys 2-11/6-11/9-14.

The Amazing World of Gumball (Tuesday, 7 p.m.) presented a new episode that ranked #1 in its timeslot among boys 6-11, while The Looney Tunes Show (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among boys 2-11/6-11.

The Saturday morning action-adventure line-up of Beyblade: Metal Fury (8 a.m.), Pokemon BW: Adventures in Unova (8:30 a.m.), Ben 10 Omniverse (9 a.m.) and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (9:30 a.m.) each ranked #1 in their respective time periods among boys 9-14. Compare to the same time period last year, Ben 10 Omniverse and Star Wars: The Clone Wars both grew all kids and boys demos, mostly by double-digits, ranging between 7% and 60%.

TNT

Entering NBA All-Star action in Houston, with more than 17 hours of live All-Star coverage on the network, TNT is on pace for its third most-viewed NBA season in the last 10 years and has ranked as ad-supported cable's #1 network on Thursday nights among adults 18-34 and men 18-34. TNT has also delivered cable's Top 2 most-viewed NBA games this season and three of cable's Top 5 games. NBA on TNT's Thursday night doubleheaders have won cable prime for the night six times among men 18-34, five times among men 18-49 and three times among adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and men 25-54.

Last Monday's episode of Dallas has averaged more than 2.9 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, with 1.2 million adults 25-54. The premiere episode of TNT's new medical drama Monday Mornings has risen to 1.9 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, including 657,000 adults 25-54.

NBA TV

NBA TV's 13 NBA Fan Night presented by Sprint telecasts this season are averaging 493,000 total viewers, up 8% compared to last season (455,000 total viewers for 22 telecasts). The most recent installment of Open Court, NBA TV's critically-acclaimed roundtable discussion featuring a panel of TNT and NBA TV analysts, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, averaged 213,000 total viewers to become the most-viewed original airing of the show (since the series' debut in November 2011). This year's six installments of Open Court are averaging 152,000 total viewers, up 103% vs. 75,000 in 2011-12).
